hey ya'all

i've recently bought a 2003 burb 2500 with the 8.1.. i found half the wheel switches dont work, upper half works lower doesnt, DIC reads odometer, and upon start will flash driver 1, also will show open door, i replaced lower switches, and i know there plugged in because when lights are turned on switches light up..any suggestions ?

It may not have that option. Someone may have simply changed steering wheels because the old one looked bad.

Well, if it flashes "driver 1", then it probably does have that option...

Could be a wiring problem with the clockspring. If you have access to a good code reader, like a TechII or something like Autogenuity with GM Enhancement, that can read codes from all the computers in your truck, it may be able to tell you where the problem is.

You might want to confirm that the truck does have DIC by going through the RPO codes (the list of RPO codes should be printed on a sticker in the glovebox).

My 04 when I got it, did not have the DIC, and depending on the key fob used would say Driver 1 or Driver 2
