Weathertech or GM Premium Liners

My weathertech mats have been great. They never slide around like someone else said and they cover the carpet floor very well. Nothing but good things to say here. Just my two cents.

I have bench seat though so the front mat goes all the way across maybe that helps them not slide.

Gm passenger and rear are fantastic! like others have said, the driver's side is cut out under the accelerator, so the coverage is poor under it.

I put a black towel under the pedal/ mat area, and just wash it when I clean the interior.

As the title suggests I'm looking for some feedback. I'm awaiting delivery of my Silvy and have ordered it with the GM liners but I wonder if they are as good as the Weathertech ones. Can anyone that has the GM ones weight in here and let me know. If you could do it over would you go with the Weathertech ones? I'm not worried about the cost difference. There is about $60CDN difference the GM ones being cheaper.

Neither....

Since I started the thread I thought I would update you all. My truck came and the GM liners were installed. I LOVE THEM!

There is the small issue of the under the pedal coverage, which I am not all that thrilled about, but overall I'm good. It's been covered a million times.

The other small, tiny thing I was not 100% happy with is that they cover my Z71 sill plate. Well surfing around here today I see that they provide an easy moulded in cut out for that area. I will be cutting that part out as soon as I get home.

My weathertechs did not make it a full year before the drivers side mat developed a crack/hole. Going to try Husky next.

Search for the other threads on these liners. Somebody in those threads used the pieces he cut off the sill and siliconed them under the gas pedal to cover that area.

GM. Weathertech don't cover the sills as much and are nowhere near as thick and sturdy as the GM ones. Can't speak for the Husky, but I have a friend that has them and they didn't fit good for being designed to fit.

Weathertech Back is 1Pc and fits nice! The fronts are the hard plastic and takes a few days to get used too. Then they start wearing down little by little........They cover behind the pedal too and it will not let the 8speed compress all the way for the kickdown to engage which is why maybe the GM'S are cut out? Not 100% sure but just what I was thinking......If soft is material than stay away from the weathertechs.......

I have had weathertechs in both my 08 Tahoe and my 16 1500 and I have never had a problem with either, they have contained spills, dirt pretty much everything I can beat them up with, and never had to replace them. Haven't seen the other brands to compare though.

Yes I saw that thread yesterday, thanks for letting me know. I just removed the sill covers and will look to do the same.
