How hard are those to install?

Very easy. Remove the grille, drill two holes, insert harness. Plug other end inline to the driver's side headlight.

Will do! mine is going on a 2014. According to another post this part number is for 2014--2015:

 

23385942 is for 2014-up 2500/3500's and 2014-'15 1500's

They are not bad to install. I work at chevy dealer and just installed one yesterday. Just remove grill and old bowtie and drill a hole for the wires to run through. Comes with harness and everything

Does the bowtie light up with the daytime running lights or just at night when the low beams are on?

Depends on how you wire it in.  I'm going to only have mine on with my headlights (low & HI).  The ones that I have seen, they're not as bright as they appear in pictures.
