Rumors are Navistar 3.0L straight six or 4.5L v8 duramax

Never heard of Navistar, but seems like they are made by international. They are just the international engines and they are named navistar for their smaller applications.

3.5l duramax was slated for production in 2010 and it made like 310hp and 520ftlb of torque, not bad

Saw this article claiming to have spied a 2019 with a steel bed and Stop/Start technology:

Though they acknowledge that it could be a decoy intended to deceive.

I've seen concept images for a future Sierra model that had a bulldog chin kinda front end, but not sure if GM ever committed to the design or if it was just a prototype.

The idea that the K2 resale value will suddenly decline in 2019 is rubbish. GM trucks have always held their value well.

If you need a truck now and find the right deal, I'd pull the trigger. I've been watching a High country at a local dealership (drove it in March), and next month I'm going in and will offer about 30% off sticker and either drive it home, or I'll wait and order a 2019 next year.

There is something to be said about having the last year of the current truck (most issues resolved) vs. the first year of a new design. The headlights specifically come to mind for the GMT-900 vs K2.

Finally, I expect the 5.3 will be the "value" engine again, with a slight uptick in HP/TQ (~375/400) and losing some weight so better fuel economy. And start/stop technology.

Right on Sailor! The engines are not going anywhere.....5.3L will have 380HP and crest 400Torque! Same with the big boy 6.2 Cresting 500TQ and both will have better MPG'S can't go wrong with that! You want the torque and mileage get the 1500 Diesel!!! GM made the correct decisions on their truck engines without a doubt!

Pics i saw of the interior, especially the dask looked an awful lot like the current gen.

If they're the same pics I saw, of the test mules, it's likely they had a hodgepodge of current and future gen stuff inside. Wouldn't be surprised if they tweaked the interior a bit on the newer ones.

My hope is they make the cabin bigger. The 14+ are a bit smaller inside than the previous gen, and the F150 and even the Tundra are WAY bigger inside - especially the rear seats.

I'm going to be waiting until GM adds port injection to the Ecotec V8s and mates them to the 10L80 transmissions. Will swap out my current truck for an SLT CC at that point. Tried the double cab this time around but it's too small even for my groceries.

Shoot if that's the case I would wait until these are out and get a solid discount on the previous year model. Thing is hideous to me
