Yup..

I got the DeeZee modle(DZZ-43102) Tailgate Assist Shock for my 2016 Silverado RCSB from Summit for $23.97.

It works great and was easy to install..

Even painted mounting brackets and shock gloss black to match truck..

I am hoping GM come out with a tailgate that will close by itself. Like the back doors on SUVs. That would be handy!

I've always thought tailgate assists were for women and children.

BUT I'm already used to mine after just a few months. I about broke my leg using the work truck without it last week! :nopity:

I had one on my last pickup, a Dodge. It rubbed on the the side of the tailgate frame as it closed. I put a thinner washer in and it was fine then.

It worked well otherwise. Im sure the fit will be fine for the Chevy but wanted to put it out there.

I put one on my 2013 and loved it

They work well, and are very affordable. Did not realize the new body style had any models without the factory "easy lift/easy down" system.

That's what I was thinking.. Every truck I've had lately had a factory assist.
