Lateral Seat Movement

I'm in for a free oil change and to get the clips put in to solve the lateral seat movement on my 16 Silverado LT. Turns out the clips won't cut it. They are ordering me a new rail mount for the seat. Will have to come back.

I've had the same thing. Only slight movement on my driver seat, but I also had this on my old 99 Silverado

I have the same problem. I plan to bring it in to be fixed during my first oil change

Mine makes a sound when I move front to back not side to side.

Updated seat frame design incorporates welded bracket to seat frame pivot bar on each side of the white guide block. This helps to reduce lateral seat movement.

 

It's been about a month and several thousand miles since this was done. I think this time it is corrected.

That just looks like the part number for the retainer. No number for the updated frame?

Recalls are for safety issues that usually cause grave harm or death...i dont believe this falls into that category. Buy the $6.00 retainer and dedicate 10 min of time...should fix 98% of those effected.

No recall - just a Tech Bulletin. Your dealer doesn't have to tell you about it but if you ask they should perform the fix for you at no cost if your truck is still under warranty.
