Long tubes headers

The stock exhaust manifold gaskets are not reusable. Only use GM gaskets on header installs, all of the other brand gaskets suck.

Also know plenty of people that have the gaskets that that came with their kooks or ARH headers that are not complaing. All though for piece of mind a set of new OEM gaskets would be best.

Forgot to update.. headers and y pipe are on.. only leak I had was where the y pipe joined together.. getting that fully welded.. and dyno tune late next month.. can't wait.. I have 2 borlas on it.. and just got some slp loudmouths to help with the highway drone.. so total of 4 mufflers... wonder what she's gonna sound like.. I'll make a YouTube video and share what she sounds like

My want to put a v band or something in instead of welding. Removal later will be a pain if not.

I've used original gaskets on cars before - did the gaskets Kooks sent with my LTs when I installed them on my 2017 Camaro

Honestly as long as you're not using RTV, you should be fine

I wouldn't worry about replacing the bolts on a truck this new, maybe a super small dab of anti-seize. I was helping a friend replace a manifold gasket a week or so ago, he sprayed it with penetrating oil the night before and every single one came out with ease on a 2000's LQ9 LS motor. I would still go with a GM gasket as I read everywhere. What type of headers did you go with? Catt'd Y pipe? Looking to buy Kooks for my 6.2L but the Y pipe cost is scary, would have one made with stock cats but that kind of defeats the purpose besides sound. Good luck with the install.

There is a good deal on catted 1 7/8 kooks and y in the for sale section. 850 shipped I think. If I had a 6.2 they would be sold.
