I must say I am impressed

In the past two years I have owned 3x titan xd's, 2x 2015+ F150's, 2017 ram 1500 ltd and now the 2017 silverado.

Intial first 1500 kms have been great. Did about 700km yesterday and averaged 10.5 L/100km. That's better then the ford 2.7 6 speed. Only two gripes is it needs to sit a little higher especially coming from the xd and I should have got the 6.5 box.

But fit and finish is on a different level compared to the others I have owned. That's including a ram ltd and titan platinum reserve. It's the little things that really add up the way exterior components are finished etc...

But very happy so far. The borla system definitely gives it a nice sound.

How are you going through a truck every 6 months?

Asking the real questions.

IIRC on another thread, he mentioned he's traded in at no loss, as the dealers want trucks to wholesale to the US. I know several people that get a new truck 1-2x each year because of this; pay for the first one, then keep moving up with no add'l cost.

To the OP- personally I've found my '17 Sierra to be a bit addictive. Everytime I get in it, I'm impressed. Even after 2.5 months.

Somewhat true actually the last few haven't even gone to the US, dealers just desperate to reach month end quota at all cost. Can't trade in on same brand they won't give you as much as a competitor. A few I actually made considerable money example 2017 ram ltd paid 47000 not incl trade and equity got $52000 trade value a few months later.

But I will agree a bit addictive I am thoroughly impressed. I gave up on gm with the blazers and late 90's trucks damn wheel bearings got expensive.

But as I stated the fit and finish is a league of its own compared to the past models I have owned past two years.

Ah, interesting. Do you enjoy that? Personally I feel like I want to just buy one, make it what i want, then keep it till it dies. Different strokes I guess.

Also, I had a 93 Chevy Blazer S10, don't know how the fullsize was but I loved that blazer, blew a piston sadly and I had to get rid of it.

Yeah I do, it's easy for me now almost not challenge. I have got it to the past two deals where they deliver to me. I have also ended up with trucks that were usually beyond my means. But now have a well optioned truck and barely owe for an economy car.

Acc. I have lost some. But have gotten way more free between the titan xd's and F150's just in return for pics of their products displayed.

I also have approx 140,000 km in 2 years on all so if I kept only one it would be worth nothing. But my km use will be easing in about 8 mths. So I might settle down with dealing.

I got mine as a keeper. Like my bike...(1999 Harley Road King Classic)...ya get attached. 7300 miles cross country pulling a TT last Aug; my wife tells friends that I "have now bonded with the truck!" Different strokes...

Fair enough. If you drive a lot it would make sense to trade in more often so you are always under warranty and don't have to worry about costly fixes. I guess thats the difference between a truck as transportation and a truck as a "toy" for lack of a better word. Only thing I would trade my truck in for would be a HD diesel.

I know this, if i were afraid my truck was going to take a shit once the warranty expired i wouldnt buy that brand truck ever again.

I'm not brand loyal was just doing what ever it took to not loose on a vehicle. Especially since many people say thats impossible, bit of a hobby i guess you could say lol. But also learned how much is really on the table in some of these deals.

So even with TTL you are not losing on any of the deals? Please PM me with how this is done.

Just like a gambler never says how much money they've lost, frequent car buyers always paint a rosy picture to support their financial mistakes. You always lose on a new vehicle purchase; specfiically the minute you drive off the lot, if someone tells you they don't they either lie like a rug, or suck at math. Just because you manage to lower your monthly payment, yet extend your payments another 60-84 months, doesnt mean you are saving money. Guys like Dave Ramsey and many other financial experts will agree, car salesman will tell you you are being smart..people need to choose who they want to prove right....no offense to the OP.

Yeah I have got nothing to prove, maybe only to the wife. But too each there own. I know I am now at a totally different level of car dealing then say 3-4 years ago. I don't worry about interest or monthly anymore it's only my principal that matters. But the chev has messed that up a bit instead of getting $20000 off on my usual deals it was $15000 off with 0% 84mth.

But very happy with the deal overall.

We were at $11500 off the chev with $46000 for my titan(I paid $47000 not incl trade and equity) then they pulled out an employee discount wildcard, apparently they were given 5 tickets to offer for the month. That took it to $15000 off and we sealed the deal with about $2400 in acc for $1000 total cost to me.
