Hello I am Joe,

 

I Bought my first Silverado last October, strangely i became a member before i bought my truck then never came back to this site .., I couldn't log in for the life of me so maybe I was deleted lol.. I am coming from owning 3 tundra's, good strong trucks.. Have to say I wasn't too impressed with the throttle response initially on my Silverado.

New airbox/ Borla exhaust and Superchips programmer really woke this truck up.

 

Anyway, what I am really looking for information on viewing media while driving. I won't be doing the viewing myself it's for my wife on our long drives.. I see a few different companies offering similar products that will enable watching movies through a thumb USB in drive. Is there a big difference between these modules (VIM) as the prices range from $90 on up to $249 on ebay..

 

I did a search but didn't find answers to what I was looking for so thought I would start here.

Well i didn't get any responses, maybe no one cares about video in motion lol..  I did go ahead and purchase a video in motion off of ebay for $90.. i was a little skeptical because the other products are priced so much higher.. Seems to do everything i was looking for.. tested over the weekend on a long trip.. Wife was happy to be able to watch movies on our 4 hour drive. Anyways thought i would chime back in and update.. thanks

Welcome! I am also new to the Forum and located in SoCal. I was actually just looking at the video in motion product selling for $90 on ebay and am also skeptical, would you recommend purchasing it? I have a 2014 Sierra AT with navigation and hope to be able to view movies while in motion. Have you noticed any other features unlocked with this product?

I’d love to hear more about the video and other benefits. I have the Telematics in my 2015 and would love to get a moving map and some nav without subscribing to onstar. I’d love to find a way to mirror Waze from my phone.
