Low coolant light

Cdigiorno

Question

At random times my "low coolant" light comes on. The temp gage will show around half way 220 I think.

Just had the oil changed and everything looked normal. I check the coolant and it shows normal.

Any idea.

If your coolant level is truly not low, then there is the possibility of an  intermittent coolant level sensor and/or intermittent electrical connection in the sensor connector and/or associated wiring. The sensor is located in the engine coolant recovery (aka radiator surge) tank and I believe is not replaceable. As an integral part of the tank, the whole tank has to be replaced. That's my thoughts.

Leave it to GM to make it part of the tank. Figures! :shakehead:
