Ok, so I bought this truck with what I believe is a ready lift 2.25in front leveling kit, I like my trucks with a little rake. Need to know what size rear blocks I should get. Post pics if ya got ‘em

Add blocks to rear for 'rake'?

Your factory shocks......will no longer allow much for wheel down travel and you'll be regretting blocks for 'rake'.

Take the front leveling kit off and return to stock.

Thanks for the reply paintor, I plan on getting 275/65/r20s, need the added inches. I can get longer shocks if needed

It will ride fine with a taller block. Mine is 1" taller than stock but you could go 2" taller for a bit more rake.

Compromise...  Reduce the level to 1.5" and go with a 55 or 60 tire.  You'll get the same number of compliments on your beautiful truck!

Running 2.5” leveling kit upfront and 3” rear blocks along with a 275/65/20 tire.

Running 3” blocks in the rear without any other modification will effect rear shock travel... Two different ways to combat that in the rear:

Option 1) rear shock extension mounts and stock shocks.

Option 2) replace factory rear shocks with longer aftermarket shocks that are designed to operate in conjunction with 3” blocks.

I went with option 2 because I didn’t like the idea of the extension mount. It’s honestly just a relocation bracket and in my option it adds a place for movement and/or failure compared to the factory fixed mount.

Your truck has a bit of rake to it already, so I suspect you have the 1" taller rear block like what comes with the RCX 2.5" kit.

My Firestone Ride Rite air bags restore my rake when I am loaded down when I pump them up, so that's an option.

Go with a 2" rear block and a set of shocks for a 2500hd.  The shocks are about 1" longer than stock, and fit perfectly with a 2-3" block.

FYI the factory block is 1.25" tall, so check to make sure that's what's under there right now.

I personally run a 2.5" rear block kit from pro comp on my truck, I also like some rake.

Running RC’s nitro shocks that are designed for a 3” block

I thought the 2.5" kits came with 1" higher rear block.  Stock block is 1.25".  Put a 1' front end kit (1/2" thick spacer) on mine.  Factory, the rake seems to about 2".

I have the Bilsteins 5100 ( adjustable) maxed in the front. Raised it about 1.75" and 3" blocks for towing heavy trailers. I also replaced the factory rear shocks with 5100's and rear extensions. The RC extensions are very heavy duty and send like a solid install.

Just realized the pic I uploaded was a photo edit trying to see what a black Z71 grill would look like lol. Oh well you get the idea. 52337b86d07e1b254dfb2ca0b9f0845a.jpg

Thanks for all of the input and pics. Measured the rear blocks, they are the factory 1.25. Think I’m gonna go with the 2.5 in pro comp blocks, she’s gonna squat pretty good with the Rincon in the back.

Plus I’m tired of getting bright lighted every night, don’t really want to jack with the factory headlight adjustment
