Your favorite tires????

Thanks!  I have the Load Range C tires and when I ran them that low I lost 2/32nds of tread in 6000 miles.  Once the air pressure was over 40 psi non appreciable has been lost in about 2000 miles.  

 

42 psi was the minimum I could run them to exceed the rear axle weight rating, gross vehicle weight rating, etc.  BF Goodrich insisted I run them at 50 psi and finally did just the other day.  The feel better now at 50 then they did at 42 for some reason.  Not sure if the cold weather has anything to do with it though.

I’m pretty close to 50psi with my load range D.  I think they’re a bit less lately with it being so cold outside.  They wear way to much below 40.

I currently have the Cooper STT Pro's in 275/70R18, Load range E. Performance wise, they have been great for everything except light snow. Unless the snow is several inches deep, they are terrible. I love the look of them, but they are going to be worn out soon with about 25k miles on them, and I don't think I'll get them again just due to how loud they got as they wore. Looking at the Ridge Grapplers for my next tire.

Just installed the BFG KO2’s (Stock size: LT275/55/20) on my 2014 High Country. Got them for $246 at my dealership who price-matched Sears. Plus only $25/tire for install/balance.

I have a pair of General Grabbed AT2s on my Sierra. Have about 20,000 miles on them, zero complaints. Great on snow, mud, rain, tread wearing evenly

From a middle-of-the-road perspective (not the most bragging rights, but not to be ashamed), I happen to like the Firestone Destination ATs.   I’ve had them on my Jeep, a F150, Tundra and now my Sierra.   They perform well for me and have a nicer appearance from stock.

I had those on a 2007 Silverado and I hated them for turning on snow. Currently have them on a 98 Expedition and they perform great on everything. My next tires may be 305's and I'm considering the Generals.
