So hardly no wear at 500,000 miles . Are they suggesting  the eco tech 5.3 is a 1 million mile motor ?? Tranny perhaps 300,000 mile life ?

I wasn't surprised the5.3  engine outlasted the GM transmission.  I wonder if the 5.3 had AFM, and whether the engine ran part of that time in V4 mode.

Haha right? It must have been mis-firing since 50k miles and stumbled across the 500k finish line with choked valves full of build up...

The plain old Mobil One we used back in the 1980s would last forever too.  They had commercials of them draining the oil and the engines still running, I did that myself at the drags and drove it home and tore into the motor the next day expecting bad but found all was well.
