Minimum lift for 35” tires.

I’m wanting to add 35” tires to my 2014 Sierra 1500 SLT. What is the minimum height it would need to be lifted to prevent any rubbing?

It depends on how much trimming you want to do to the truck, what offset your wheels are, and how wide the wheels are. I have 325/60r20 KO2s (which run a little small) on my truck with a 6” BDS lift and I had to trim the front air dam for them to not rub.

I have seen others claim to run 35s with only 4” of lift, but I feel like a lot of trimming would be required.

I had to do 6" on my truck. 2017 z71.  Now I had a 2007 z71 and put 35" tires on it and only did a 2 inch body lift but I had to buy fender flairs in which I had to cut my fenders about 1" off for the flairs.

I have 35s on a 4.5 inch Zone but a 4 inch BDS will also work. No rubbing or trimming with factory wheels. You can as long as you run a wheel with 5.75 backspacing.
