My oil is not that black,I'm at 32,000 with about 60% oil life left. Just checked it yesterday and it was full. And no catch can.

Your not going 12K between changes either are you? :P

Point is this was a flush on a GDI engine with 30K on it with perfect maintenance........Which I previously did 25K before on it.....That my friend is the good stuff, the upper end good stuff...GDI'S

1.) If I'm reading your post correctly that is "over the top" drain intervals (12K) on non -synthetic oil then flushing. It can be replicated with a quart of kerosene in the oil of a carburetor motor. It's what we used before ' canned flushes'. Hardly a GDI issue.

2.) It's on the non combustion side of the motor as well so now GDI is causing excessive 'leak down'? :sigh: Better go bury Pepper.

The OP poster wanted Information on 44K I say it works for the "Combustion Chamber" I have given results from other BG Products and when used in conjunction will most certainly keep Carbon producing deposits at a minimum especially on "GDI" engines?    No, the 12K interval was done on Full-Synthetic the flush was non-synthetic.......Keep your GDI's clean boys is all I am saying.

Just so I understand completely,  after draining the synthetic, you refilled with 2 quarts of BG and regular dino oil and let it idle for about 10 minutes and drove another 12 miles. The black oil in the jug was the result of the drain of the dino oil and BG with approximately 30 minutes run on it.

Impressive results.

I change my synthetic every 5k and it is usually pretty dark.

Correct! Actually, it's Cans not quarts.... 2qty cans.  They sell a QT and on a previous GDI in the family is what had to be used in order to stop the vehicle from stalling out and going into limp mode.....only severe cases require the QT and that particular vehicle was 3K oil changes and brought to a crawl at 80K.....All Plugs were coked out like chernobylite and All PCV plumbing replaced....It also exhibited little to no Oil consumption

I change mine every 5K and have never dropped oil that looked like that. Before someone says, flush it and it will. You can pull any of my motors down and find them internally as clean as the day they were built. Even the ones with a quarter million on them. Sharp tune. Good lube. Great oil cooling. Moderate service. I didn't steal it so no need to drive it like I did.
