Considering a 2018 Sierra Denali ultimate...

Yes, as stated above for the SLT... the Premium Plus package is the only way to get FULL LED headlights.... Getting that package on the SLT is 95% of a denali (no mag ride though) and about 10k less price...

You can get the intellibeam led lights on a SLT with either package:

SLT PREMIUM

SLT PREMIUM PLUS

If you try to add intellibeam headlights when configuring on gmc.com it will auto add a package which includes bucket seats, all the driver assist options, etc.

when end looking at build sheet at dealer:

TQ5-Headlamps, Intellibeam

I just bought a 2018 Sierra 1500 Denali today. I traded in my 2017 GMC Canyon Denali with 2800 miles for it. Some guys may say 2800 miles on a Canyon, must have been something wrong with it. Nope. I also bought an Airstream going to Colorado to tow it home so I need maximum towing in a Denali package. You can't get much better with the 6.2L with 420 HP and 460 lb/ft torque. The trasmission was as smooth as silk. You got a warranty. Go for it!

I have a 2017 Sierra Denali 4wd Ultimate with 4,000 miles. Purchased in Dec during Denali sale promo and I traded in a 2015 Sierra Denali.  Sticker was $64,000 but with incentives and GM card I only paid $52.  No problems, trans shifts fine, most time cannot even feel it shift.

My brother has a loaded 2017 Sierra SLT with 6.2L Max Towing.  Purchase SLT to get Max Trailering that not available on Denali.  They love the truck,  15,000+ miles and no issues whatsoever.

IMO if you keep it stock you are less likely to experience problems.  Oversize tires and suspension mods throw a wrench into the computerized systems.

You may be able to get intellibeam with the Premium package but I don't think they are the full LED lights, I believe they are the HIDs... Yes you can get the Intellibeam LED headlights with the SLT Premium package as an additional add-on. See below example:

Not trying to start a pissing contest ;-) I would actually prefer the SLT premium plus because it includes bed liner standard as the SLT premium package does not. That's about only difference I can see between this below truck and a SLT PP.

Can you recommend a sales rep at Laura? Or it doesn't really matter? Feel free to PM me if you have a great sales person you dealt with.

BTW how much do you expect to pay in interest with the GM financial? You have to hold that loan for 181 days before refinancing, right?

Its a tossup between your stone blue and good ol summit white. I link the White Frost Tricoat but not the $995 upcharge and probably harder to fix if it gets scratched or needs minor paint repair.

You think the stone blue will be a PIA to keep clean? My truck will live outside until I can add on 2 feet to my garage LOL.

 Are all Intellibeam headlights LED??

Im not sure, that's why I posted it up above on what packages the LED (T4L) came with

No pissing matches going on here ..its all good .. :) ... Just trying to find out for sure when the full LED lights can be optioned... I see in what you posed you have the TQ5 intellibeam, but I don't see (T4L - LED Headlamps) optioned out.... Is the T4L part of the TQ5? maybe, Im not sure, I cant find that information anywhere... On the Invoice of my truck I have T4L and TQ5....Can you build one with the Preferred Plus package and see if the T4L come s up as well???..Just to see

The other thing that I like with the preferred plus package is the rear sliding window...I had it on my 2011 and loved it, so that was a must for a new truck for me

Why was it traded in with 2k miles would be my worry... is it a vibrator? Just make sure to get it up to 80 mph on your test drive. As others have said though, for $55k you can get new. I probably would shoot for $51-52k.

What do you mean by vibrator? The chassis or the engine?  And is this just with the 2018's, or been going on a while?

Yeah, its 100% true no games just an extra $182 doc fee & temp tag fee, otherwise what you see on the web is what you pay.. Pplus you can choose your color..I am not too far from you in Poconos of PA...It was a 12 hour drive to get there, but In my case I saved $8,000 over what the dealers were asking here in the NE... One thing with Lauras is that you have to go to the dealership in person to sign everything, they don't ship anything. I assume you can arrange to have it shipper there with you  when you are there signing the papers, and then put it right on the truck..

I read on here a lot about everyone saying to check them out if in the market for a GMC and they were right..... I tried to negotitate with a dealership in NH since it was a lot closer to me, and they just told me there was no way they could come close to Lauras pricing. I could have traded my 2011 in with Lauras, but I feel I could definitely get more money outright and make up for the tax difference selling it outright....

I bought my 2017 SLT CC 6.2 from Laura last April. Now have 14k on it and ZERO problems. Drives like a dream and tows like a beast. It's just like they said super low price no BS. Mike Miller will hook you up.

I have the 2018 GMC Sierra brochure here on my desk since I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a new 2018 SLT. I would like the high performance LED headlamps. Reading from the brochure says, High-Performance LED headlamps with GMC signature lighting. On SLT, included with and only  available with SLT Crew Cab Premium " Plus" package. On All Terrain,  included and only available with All Terrain Premium Package or All Terrain X package. They show they are optional without those packages.

I'm looking at one that is in transit to my local dealer that has the SLT premium package, SLT preferred package, Trailer brake controller, bucket seats, no Nav. 5.3 in Summit White , MSRP is $52,920. discount is  $14,801. off, selling for $38,119.

I just wish it had the $495. Audio system, 8" screen with Navigation option.

All the SLTs have the 8" screen, just the nav is the $500 option, and IMHO I like using google maps on my phone better. With the infotainment system you can display your phone onto the 8" screen so you can use google maps and it will be just like having the nav. ... The SLT premium package comes with the Bose audio, so you wont be missing that, just the nav...which to me isnt a deal breaker

I see you drive a 2013 SLT with 6.2L....Just my opinion, but I wouldnt trade that 6.2 for a 5.3 any day of the week... I drove a 5.3 and it no where close to the power my 2011 6.2L has...The 5.3 is no slouch but it still doesnt compare to the older(L9H) 6.2...Now the new (L86) 6.2 in my 2018 is a gem, pulls just as hard or harder than my 2011 that is blackbear tuned..Pretty incredible for everything being 100% factory.. I cant wait to get it tuned..
