Have 2014 Silv. LTZ Z71.

DOORS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING. MY MIRRORS WOULD AUTO OPEN AND CLOSE.

I USED SECOND KEY FOB I RECEIVED WHEN I BOUGHT TRUCK NEW.

ISSUES STOPPED.

NOW JUST LOST MY REPLACEMENT KEY FOB.

I WILL REPLACE BATTERY IN OLD FOB AND REPORT BACK.

I guess it's my turn to get on this thread in hopes someone finds the real answer.  I have a 2016 High Country that does the same.  The door locks cycle when driving, I woke up around 2am to find my headlights shining into the house across the street.  I got the keys and turned it around.  I guess it had been doing this for weeks.  I looked at my camera and saw the  headlights were coming on/off every minute.   Now when I unlock the truck with the fob, I have to pull the handle before it locks again.  I replaced the ground strap just 2 weeks ago, no joy there.  I hear it can be the BCM, the drivers door switch quadrant or maybe the remote sensor.?

Did I leave anything out.?

Just as most of you, randomly my 2015 Silverado started unlocking every 10-15 seconds, driving or parked. Narrowed it down to the key fob. Replaced the battery but that didn’t work. Bought 2 new replacement fobs and switched the circuit board to them so I didn’t have to reprogram, same issue.

but then Florida Jason mentioned checking the circuit board for some gel like substance and wouldn’t you know, mine had that on there. Wiped down the board and put the key fob back together. Tested it to make sure it still worked and it’s been 2+ hours and haven’t had the unlock issue. Getting ready to head out for the day, so I’ll report back. Fingers crossed!!

I just realized I never returned to update you all until I got the e-mail notification about Panhandle Chevy's post. Good luck my friend! Although my attempt was effective for about a day, it didn't take long until the problem returned. I finally became convinced I cannot salvage the key fobs.

So- in the end I simply replaced the key fob. I purchased a new one from Amazon for $60. Part of me wishes I had done that sooner, but to be honest I was under the impression I would have to spend hundreds on a new key fob.

Instead, the key fob I ordered came with a programmer that plugs into the OBDII port. It can only be used on ONE vehicle, but $60 is much better than the hundreds a dealer or locksmith wants for the same outcome. I'll share the Amazon link below for reference. It was not a difficult task and only took about three minutes.

Please note: I saw some indications that certain model years (or maybe trim packages) let you program the key fobs without a special tool, but I didn't look into that too much. Mine definitely needed the tool to program a new key fob.

same exact situation for me. Seemed to be fixed and then it started again, although not nearly as often.

Ended up buying the fob and programmer that you did (saw a couple of videos on install) and the issue seems to be corrected!! Save some $$ for sure!
