I was cleaning the inside of my Sierra All Terrain and found a little light in driver’s and passenger’s door handle. Who knew it was there? Nice little touch by GM when they could have done nothing.

I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday. I was removing the door trim and saw that little light and thought to myself, wow I never noticed that before.

I knew it was there along with the cup holder light in the headliner. GM gave us these in lieu of the under hood, floor, and glove box lights we used to have...

The perfect light source; you don’t even know where it comes from, its just everywhere

I wonder if these lights are some part of a safety standard. I agree they don't seem useful but I have been in vehicles where the location of the door handle was not obvious. In such cases it would be worsened if I was in a hurry to exit.

I like the fact that they are there as well, though they are so dim as to be almost worthless. I wish they (along w/ the light over the console) we just a bit brighter.

I think it would be nice to be able to disable them in the settings. I don’t mind the door lights but find the console over head light mildly annoying.

The lights in the door might be giving off a little light to be able to locate the door handles if your not use to them, but when I use them, I have always been in a lit parking area so the were drowned out I guess. I like the console overhead light, gives off the right amount of light to see in the cab while not having to turn on the big overhead light.
