Look back on his spreadsheet to test #1 where they indicate no aluminum detected with a dash and has been 2 ppm since and most recent 3PPM. 😉 Pretty sure it means "O"

double check that because this is a industrial test not a full automotive.

Iron, copper, lead, aluminum, tin, nickel, chromium, titanium, vanadium and silver. What are they missing? :dunno:

The newer format for the uninformed in the industrial world places a - for below level of detection, blank = not tested.

APOLOGIES to the TROLL

I still want to  see if 0 if its 0.

Says so right in the blue line above the elemental spectroscopy results.

Industrial  or auto, same lab, same ASTM D5185 MOD test so limit of detection is the same determined by that method so I fail to see the fuss over it being a recorded as zero or a dash. Zero and dash both mean zero ABOVE the minimum detection size. Zero does not mean zero below that limit. Block Pore tells the rational that. The difference is in the reporting not in the test. A distinction without a meaningful difference.

This test is a slice of a pie with upper and lower size limits. It is not a full distribution.

Now that I understand. "Over" is always a sad experience and more so when you "father" it.

I'd like to acknowledge that you put allot of yourself into a means to be helpful to your fellow that is often thankless and misunderstood.  I didn't always agree with interpretive methodology but it was first rate lab work and you are patient beyond imagining with the thankless and the ignorant. Your service included allot I personally found very useful and quite imaginative.

Loved the AN/BN complete as part of the normal service and the entire IR JOAP Method section is invaluable to anyone with more than a basic understanding the of purpose of even testing. KR water and GC fuels were spot on choices. Crackle tests are for field work for Macgyver-ing a situation. Not serious tools for this trade.

I am sorry, truly sir, for your loss. And apologies for being insensitive to the reason for your objection. I did not understand the place it was coming from.

I offered that kind of work since 1980! Before most even knew what FTIR was!

Are you ok? Don’t make me drive to Illinois again to check your temp?? Seriously thanks!

Yes, I'm fine and thanks for asking. Just acutely aware at the moment. Hyper alert. You know better than most that place. Experiencing something akin to Stans experience with hearing aids. I just can't put it back in a drawer however. Not sure I want to. But yea, I'm solid. You're 5 X 5.

6 qt. Red Line HP 5w30, Fram XG11665

1 bottle Red Line SI-1 in the tank

Quiet as church mouse now. Exhaust cam phasers didn’t care for the Valvoline after a couple thousand miles. The brief cold start rattle I had from them is gone now.

How do you like it so far? Thinking of procuring one for Jeannie.

That used cornbinder fire truck would be a good buy for a large eastern Colorado wheat farmer. Fire insurance premium savings should be substantial having that in the harvest "rolling stock" with used combines going for nearly 1/2 million and new ones with the header in the 3/4 million area, cheap insurance to have that in a field being harvested.

The CVT is an acquired taste. The adaptive learning takes awhile but is on the money at 7,500 miles. I love it but it will not be most others cuppa tea. 78 flywheel horsepower in a 2,000 lb car is not lighting any fires in the hearts of the power greedy but is will do 60 mph all day, every day and pass what others cannot. A gas station. Even at 9 gallons capacity. Think 1960 VW Beetle power. EPA numbers are 35 city, 41 highway, 37 combine but I'm killing those numbers at 800 feet above sea level on the billiard tables of Illinois. Even at near zero F I'm clocking 10% over the EPA numbers. Summer, mid 50 mpg range. Several tanks over 60 mpg running 55 mph. I don't know your exact elevation but your a plane guy. It isn't helpful to power output. We have pretty long on ramps and I try to stay off the Interstate but it will get to safe speed plus 10 when asked to. But never think you will mat it to merge. You'll just become roadkill. :( I have no issue with this.

Did the 7,500 mile oil change today. I'm dropping better oil than most buy. :crackup:Checked blowby today via the oil fill cap. It wouldn't blow out a candle and hand over port only the slightest vacuum. Not enough over 30 seconds to make the main seal squeal. Best ring seal I've even gotten on any motor of any cylinder count. Compression pressure over 200 psi. Leak down under 5%. Top of the book. Must be my crappy break in method and over added too heavy oil. 😏

Does have some quirks. Apple car play is a pain to keep synchronized and the phone looses paring in dead zones that require a key cycle to clear. Programming the DIC is stone age. Heater is Killer good. Like Jeep heat good. Thanks to an electric resistance helper. Has a built in block heater area where a 400 watt heater can be added. On my to do list. CVT needs plenty of warm up when under 27F. a 100 watt pad heater would be kill'a. Weak hill decent braking. I drop into sport mode under 50 mph when I come in too hot. and it helps...allot. Jerky until the 'learn mode' is done but smooth as butter now. Learning to gauge your distance is beneficial. Heavy cross winds are NO FUN.

Worse part is a lack of aftermarket parts and greedy dealers that don't know their backsides from an outhouse ring. Still the day in day out sundries can be bought easy enough. Oil, all filters, plugs etc.

Full nose PPF and some Ceramic coating plus ceramic tint is on my must list. Low nose = rock chip city. Paint is not bird crap and tree sap friendly. Lots of greenhouse area.

Can't think of anything else unless you have questions. :dunno:

I wasn’t asked this isn’t a slight on anyone. We all know Grumpy doesn’t drive very aggressively. And probably could find good quality’s in a Yugo. But do yourself a big favor. Buy a certified pre owned Civic, Mazda3, etc. Volkswagen has sign and drive every December. Guess what’s coming off lease? Three year old sign and drive. The dealerships will be flush with lease returns. Unless you want the person to hate you don’t get that G-4. Can’t help it. I had to say something.
