Unfortunately I do not, it was installed before I owned the vehicle. 2000.

Ah! Well, just looking at available samples online seems 2 to 6 ppm is the usual "S" background. 8 isn't a bell ringer. But changing it wasn't a bad idea or wasted money. Something we do when we get one we don't know the entire history of. I've got Dyson results here where 9 was marked up green with a "Well Done", and some RL samples where 10-20 ppm is part of the antifoam chemistry. I can't imagine what can be gleaned from a single point of data (no trend) without a reference sample (no background), no resample.

I mainly sampled to take a peek at the wear metals and make sure nothing was eating itself in there. 😆

 

I don’t use that specific oil anyway, so its composition and performance isn’t really relevant. Aside from being a little curious of course!

2.4 Ecotec I-4, 6 speed automatic. 

18,186 miles on unit

3,286.9-miles. OCI (A little over a year).

1 Quart HPL SAE40 EC

3.875 Quarts Red Line HP EURO 5W30

1 Mobil 1 M1C-151A filter.  

 

The HPL was used to make up a shortage of Red Line. Not for cleaning. 

Using the 'looser' Mobil 1 filter for quicker oil pressure on seldom used or started motor.

1,507-mile OCI

15 ounce of makeup or 9.95 ounces per thousand or roughly a quart in 3,200 miles. 35% lower that last 15W50. 50% lower overall from worst. Four consecutive declines. 

 

Last fill up added a bottle of AMSOIL PI. 

 

4.66 quarts Mobil 1 FS 15W50 (4 quarts and 21 ounces to the full mark. This seems to vary) 

1 Purolator L15436 filter.

5W30 Idemitsu (Mitsubishi) 5W30 SP ILSAC GF-6 + 8 Ounces of Red Line Break In Additive. 2260 Phos, 2640 Zinc total. 

Filter Mitsubishi

 

OEM fill was Idemitsu 0W20. Oil change on delivery per my instructions. Additive by my hand.
