Any one out there with the 8 speed transmission not having issues??

Just thought I would throw that out there to see how many are having problems and how many are not.

Thanks

My 2016 LTZ 8 speed, was having some slow speed surge and clunking issues that was corrected for the most part with a complete multi-flush and revised GM trans fluid done under warranty.  So far, my 2019 8 speed, is much smoother than the 2016, but I only have 500 miles on it!

2016 5.3 / 8 speed here. Sitting just north of 50K on the clock. No problems with mine. The dealership did a trans fluid flush last time I was there, only to keep my warranty in tact.

21,000 on mine with no issues.

Already 21K on your '19, that's amazing.  Let everyone know on the 2019 threads of your impressions so far of the '19, I would be interested to know if the seats have been improved, for example.

2019 Colorado LT here.....just about 250 miles and no trouble yet !! Haha ! Had no idea there was problems with the 8 speed. I was a Toyota Rav 4 owner before this until I was rear ended and was put in a Colorado rental for 2 weeks. I absolutely loved it, traded my Rav in on the Colorado 2 weeks later and here I am. hopefully the tranny thing doesnt bite me in the ass.

I did test drive a CPO 16 Colorado with 20k miles on it that drove like it was beat to shit, hated the 6 speed. Then tested a 17 Canyon SLT that had 24k on it and it also shifted a little funky so I opted for new.

I have ordered a 2020 Denali to .replace my 2017 Denali, both with eight speed transmissions.  I really liked the way the eight speed performed on two trips to Texas (10,000 miles total) and mileage up to thirty MPG (28 average for the second trip:).  I have yet to take one of my Canyon’s to a dealer for any repairs whatsoever  ( the current ordered Denali will be my fifth).   Although some have had problems my truck was trouble free from delivery to trade in.

My ZR2 Colorado the transmission was shuttered hard. I just brought it in yesterday  they flushed the transmission and replaced it with an upgraded oil. It’s seems to be working well for now. It’s only been one day. We’ll see. I’m reading nightmare stories of the Colorado having this problem.

I have a 19 Colorado LTZ with less than 7K miles and have experienced clunking and hard shifts several times under normal warm conditions. I told the service writer to check it when they serviced the truck for the first time. He said they checked it out and it was fine, but I'm not convinced. Guess it will have to get worse before they believe me.
