Send a pic! Are they actually 1993 model 350’s with super charger turbo fluctuating and actuators installed that won’t shift at max rpm’s?

Gear ratio is not that important with the 8speed

Knowing all that I know about these trucks, I wouldn’t care if it was 3.23 or 3.42

Unless you’re racing your buddy with 3.23! I smoked my buddy!

ThWith the deals on the 18's I would not be looking for a used one at that price. The Chevy's are ridiculous right now with employee pricing plus other incentives. As stated above I would buy any deal and would be open to changing a gear ratio later. New, broken in by you, and a new warranty is the way to go, presently with these deals. If your not trading I would be sending emails to all the dealers on the east coast, fly in drive home. I flew into Georgia for my Zo6, the deal was well worth it. Flew in at 10Am and was home in my garage by 9pm.

This.  With the deals so strong right now, get new.  Heck, I got 12k off my truck in July, now with the 19's out, you can do better.  Get new.

I went and drove the truck, truck was great lots of power just couldn't get there on price.  New seems to be the way to go with the deals at the moment.  I got them down to $40,100 and manager said they are making $500 at that price.

They have a ton of 5.3s can get a LTZ for right at $40k.  But can go a state or two away and for around $4k more get the 6.2 in SLT premium plus and when you do the math its a much better deal.

I drove 6.5 hrs away to get my truck. They gave me more for my old 1 and they were the cheapest on what i wanted. So worth it

Never believe what a dealer tells you he's making. Get the 6.2! Buy new, the inventory on the 6.2's is evaporating daily. These deals motivated many near me, as I have been looking and considering myself. Many of the High country's, Denali's and other 6.2's have disappeared I was looking at near here.

Laura GMC  Have basically rock bottom prices , I had to travel upstate NY to get a decent deal , I also look for used thinking I would save Money And have a close to new Truck ,

1 Dealer had 1/2 his lot loaded with lease returns , "I said I was interested in a used truck ", and pointed at  the general area where they were parked , He said they were all $40,000 or higher ! I still remember his face when he turned around while holding the door for me ,I was already in my truck leaving Went up state Got a new LTZ for $44000 ,

There are deals if you look and wait, In the $30,000ish market but you have to be quick on the trigger

Paid $36k for my 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ DC 4x4 6.2.  It had 12k miles on it.  It was the same price as a new 2018 LT CC 4x4 5.3 with all of the discounts.  I opted for the slightly used truck to get the 6.2L.

Good decision, imo.  If money is a concern, but looking for a truck in this price range, I'd choose a new 5.3 with the 3.42 over a used 6.2.   The only time you will be short of power by not having the 6.2 is in a racing or competition situation.   There is a price to be paid for the added confidence you may have in being able to beat your neighbour through an intersection.  I have the 4.3 in my '15 and look forward to driving it everyday. I have never experienced a driving situation when extra horsepower would have given me an advantage.  (Most of my daily driving needs would be met with half of my current power ;-) )  I am currently looking at a 5.3 because I am in the market for a trailer that exceeds the 7K lb limit of my current setup.  I will not put myself, or others, in a maxed out and unsafe situation.  If I find myself planning to tow a trailer that hits the limits of the 5.3 then I'd move to a 2500 and not the 6.2..   I agree with others that the 6.2 is a fun option but  my entertainment dollar has never stretched that far!

$43,000 for a truck with 35,000 miles? That's very, very high. You must be in Canada, hell I would sell you my 2015 AT SLT for $35,000CAD ($26,000 USD) with only 27,000km (17,000miles).

Don't hang up on the final drive ratio, it is much less relevant with 8 transmission gears, its not like comparing a 3.73 and a 4.10 on the old 4 speeds.

If you can sell a used truck for $43,000 US, then I am asking for $50,000 CAD at trade time, not $35k...
