2018 sierra 1500 buzzing noise after truck is shut off

Recommended Posts

Hey all just noticed something odd this evening I got home shut my truck off and when I got outside I could hear a feint buzzing seems to be right under the drivers side. Probably kept going for about 30 seconds and finally stopped.

Any idea what this could be?

Only noise I usually hear in that area is the fuel pump priming the lines. Maybe your cooling fans running.

I have the exact same sound with my 17 GMC.  Buzzing and humming after shutdown; I especially notice it in the garage.  It has done it since new and I have never found anyone who knows what it is.  But on the bright side it hasn't seemed to cause any issue, so I'm just considering it normal until I run across a post on here where someone figures it out.  Good luck.

Mine did the same thing like a week or so ago but this was the first time I ever heard it in a year since I bought it. It’s a 2018 sounds like a pump or something followed by 2 clicks or a click once it was about to shut off. Heard it once have not again.
