I just bought a new to me 2014 Silverado LTZ Z71. I have follwed the programming instructions to the letter but when attempting to program the memory seat recall positions I never get the audible beep that should signify completed programming. ( have tried seat position 1,2 and easy exit...no beeps,no programming) Bummer, any advice?

Dead switch maybe???

This is a stupid question, but did you have the key in the “on” position and/or the truck running?

Not too sure then. Could be a bcm or fuse issue I guess..

Hopefully someone with this same issue will chime in soon.

does anyone know if the seat position recall switch is backlit like the other door switches? mine is dark (no light) with headlights on at night.

Did you hold the set button long enough till it beeps 2x?  It can require a several seconds hold time.  Press set 1st, then number and hold.

On mine, you only need to press both Set and either 1 or 2 simultaneously. Only takes about 2 seconds.

I do not have to hold them down long at all.

Tried it. Didn't work.maybe a bad control module for the memory seats?

Welcome to the site. The cure to most problems, disconnect battery for half an hour, connect and see what happens.

Power cycling the battery didn't fix it......Can anyone tell me if the memory seat switch is supposed to be backlit like the other door switches?? Mine is NOT. Thanks.

Mine are backlit on my ‘16 & ‘18. I would assume they are (or should be) on your ‘14 as well.

They do light up, have you checked the fuse? Probably got water in the switch at one time, and shorted it out.
