Not a troll, really not happy with what Chevy has offered though .. the same tired  motor bumped up to unexciting specs .. a horrid interior design from the eighties .. a good awful front end ... GMC in the past has always been a step above chevy in style, not now. You people defending this atrocity are the problem ... there's nothing attractive about these new trucks .. yes, beauty is very subjective, but come on! It's been YEARS since chevy has done anything 'class' leading in design.

I think the AT4 looks great. The Silverado 2500 isn't nice in my opinion.

 

GM is slow to design and implement options for their vehicles but I love how reliable their vehicles are. Ford has fancy stuff, Dodge has fancy stuff but I always hear those owners complain about reliability.

 

Personally I think the big 3 are very close when looking at their entire packages.  At the end of the day it comes down to what you like.

I usually hate the looks of the Silverado, but for some reason I like the Silvy HD, even the WT trim. I have always been a Sierra guy and once again the Sierra HD has more appeal to me as a guy who dislikes the T1 design. My last two personal trucks have been All Terrain Sierras (AT4), so I will always somewhat be partial to that package as I felt it was better looking than the Denali for a big price discount. 

 

But look past the looks gentlemen, did you see those specs? 6,500# payload and 43,500# GCWR for a reg. cab dmax dually. That is insanely impressive for a pick up truck. There are certain single axle vocational trucks that cant gross that high.

I didn;t say it looks like a F150- I said it has the chiseled looks that a F150 has. The GMC has lots of sharp corners...READ what I said....

I even think it looks like a chiseled GMT-900 with the squared off top corners and square grille.  Front is very flat/vertical, great sharp angles.

 

The only critique I would have are the change signals. They look to be attached to each other with a bar that goes around the grille. Looks like a mustache almost, it bothers me.

The black AT4's look pretty darn nice in my opinion....

Are you serious? We just retired our 89 3500 Dump and if you think the new interior is straight from the 80s, you must be cracked.

The more I look at the capabilities of this news truck, the more I should stop looking at this new truck.....

 

Mr AT4 HD is a great looking truck that is seemingly tough as hell, what does the DC standard bed tow? 24,000 pounds, holds, what, 4,000 pounds in the bed??? Those are big numbers, I'd be looking at the new gasser... Ack, no, don't look, stop, my trucks cool, perfect....   ACK!:idiot:

      You're better read than that Atlas. 😏   British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke formulated three adages that are known as Clarke's three laws, of which the third law – that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" – is the best known and most widely cited.   Stribeck and the pivotable Hersey Number isn't voodoo nor snake oil. That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's. We just don't know what they are yet and it will take longer to sort as MARKETING and GREEDY CEO's have had more time to polish the turd they are selling.

      You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
