Would be nice if it was anything other than appearance only. 1500s get 2" lift with factory level. HDs it's just an off road appearance package.

True, although GMC treats it as a trim level between the SLT and Denali; like Denali, it's only available as a crew.

I really like the look of the new GMC HD. I thought the chevy HD front was ugly, but its growing on me and supposed to look better in person.
