I believe my old 14 silverado LT was more comfortable than my new 19 LTZ which is leather. May be I need to get used to it. I don't see too much differences in sizes. Some dealers still have 2018 models. You should try both models.
Danka Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 I have a 2018... I was in hopes they had made the 2019 seat a little larger... This 2018 is smaller (according to my rear-end) than my 2016...which was smaller than my 2015.... which was smaller....well, you get the picture. The last comfortable Chevy truck I had was a 2010 Dually. !!!! Thanks for the reply!!!
2017Darkness Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Sorry, but seats are the same from 2015-2018...so the size of something else is changing.....
OnTheReel Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 They seem about the same overall size. The bottom of the 2019 is a bit firmer and flatter though. Some don’t like that but I do. Much easier to get in and out of. Don’t have to drag my fat butt as much as I did on the 2016 which had taller bolsters and a “softer” foam. Durability wise I think they will hold up better too.

Helps immensely with not sliding across that bolster where you see almost all GM truck seats wear out first.
OnTheReel Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Yeah, thankfully the driver’s grab handle is standard on the 19s. I never did get to add it to my 16 but it was on the list. My bolster looked pretty crummy already at 25k miles on that. I think this seat will wear better.
FL335i Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Aside from the shakerado syndrom, the cloth seats in my '14 are not very comfortable. I find the Ford and Ram seats better. I'm at 93k on my '14, verdict is in. I sat in a '19 Sierra a the local auto show for 2 minutes and "think" the new seats are more comfortable.
Sierra Dan Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I have seen some Video reviews that claim the T1 seats seem or feel smaller, especially in the seat area compared to K2
