Mine is a all new shaft. But not what I wanted so the steel smaller diameter 2 piece will go in this summer when I remove trans and do 2nd fuel system.

Oh I forgot that. And the u bolts are junk in my opinion. The spec is like 70ftlb. But it says go like 60 then go back and do a little more. I could see the bolt twist. Aftermarket hardened bolts are 120ftlb.
Now you got me thinking about my splines. They where dry last week.hmmm

sorry for the late reply. i am using the djm lowering kit (front is control arms and rear is a flip kit). i first thought that it was the driveshaft bottoming out into the back of the trans. i unbolted the driveshaft at the rear end and it still slid into the trans about 3/4-1 inch when the truck was on the ground. i do have some rubbing from the driveshaft on the body which only happens when the truck bed is loaded with shit. for the hell of it i put some dykem on the driveshaft and took it out on the highway. had it make the noise then took it back to the shop lifted it up and the dykem didnt show any rubbing on the shaft so i ruled that out also.

That good clearance. Would recommend smaller shaft. And I love my helper air bags. All ride quality is improved. What is you pinion angle on flat surface?

I definitely think helped bags would help a ton just having over half tank of gas effects mine. I guess I was always lucky  in past never had a issue with lowered trucks until this one hopefully I don’t just have a shitty kit   If I had a way to raise the rear 3/4 to a inch it would help

Yup that is what I do 5 lower in the back but I like just a hair bit of rake so just enough air in the bags to seen the rear start to lift. It just lets the rear not sink lower. I added a 1" spacer under the bag. So the bag acts like it's on a 6" drop. At 70psi truck is lifted 3" in the rear but stiff as hell. It helps the suspension dampening. So instead of a bump in the road causing the truck to bounce 3 times it cuts that in half. Just absorbs the suspension travel.
