New RST

So the non z71's dont have a 4L? I had just an RST without z71, it have 2H, Auto, 4H and a pic of a truck driving up a hill where my 4L button is. I never hit it or anything but just assumed it was 4L

Nope, it’s terrain mode. Computer simulated 4 low.

^{I love the RST so much, but they're just anemic in features. I'm spoiled from my test drives of the AT4 I guess, but I want the 6.2, HD surround, ventilated seats, lane keep assist, etc. I know it's getting the 6.2 for the 2020 year, anybody know if there's any word on whether it will receive any expanded options? You currently can't get the safety and tech packages I want on the RST. I've been holding out on getting the AT4 until I can get confirmation on the options on the RST, but I think I'll have to go AT4. I'm not really interested in the lift, but I hate the Denali (and High Country) chrome.}

Yeah, I am surprised that this RST doesn’t have the option for all of that. But honesty I’m glad it doesn’t have the lane assist stuff, every car I’ve driven that has it has caused more annoyance to me. I will agree the chrome and such was too much for me. The high country and such are beautiful but not my style. I saw a white one today while I was driving and it looked stellar but ehh not me.

I don’t mind that the RST doesnt have everything you can get keeps the price down. They don’t want people straying to far from the GMC brand I rather save some money and not have some fancy tech in the truck. 

 

I think the RST is the best buy for somebody that doesn’t like chrome like myself and doesn’t mind have all the tech. I also rather rock the bow tie 20 years ago the trucks didn’t look different now they do and it just so happens I’m still gonna rock the bow tie?

I agree, I just wish you could have the option if you hate the chrome but want a Chevy. I much prefer the appearance of the Chevy, but I want the accessories. I mean, I could probably forget about everything else, but c'mon, atleast gimme some ventilated seats!

You might be able to with the leather package. Which is an option on the RST. My best friend works at a Chevy dealer and they’re swapping leather into some of the models now as added options. They have heated and cooled seats. Leather and moonroof are the only things mine didn’t have. Which neither I was dead set on. Leather with my dog is a no no and the moonroof I had in my car and I rarely would remember I had it [emoji23]. The high country only has a small amount of chrome on the bumper I did notice. Compared to an LT or such. It does upset me though that the customs don’t have the led light package as an option. I feel with a new body style and a revamp of the truck trims it’s something that is modern...vs the halogen which is very dated.

I refuse to get anything with a sunroof. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find anything in the LTZ/HC/AT4 level that DOESN'T have a sunroof.

You can paint anything’s these days! But dealer options are nice haha

Mabe the 2020 models will  have bent seats ect. or 2021 there is only so much machinery to build/install parts that’s why you couldn’t get a 6.2 in a RST in 2019 I think. In 3 or 4 years there is gonna be so many options it’s gonna boggle the mind. I want the i6 diesel purely for being different and test out a brand new engine. The 6.2 is badass proven so if the trucks are dramatically different engine/power/tech in 5 years you can always trade In if you want tech goodies!!

Yeah, the AT4 price and talk up I didn’t understand, but that’s partially because I didn’t look much more into it because I didn’t want the complex new tailgate. Looks neat and prolly has a purpose but not my cup of tea.

I really don't want the lift and tires that come along with the AT4. I'm not the type to offroad a $60k truck. I love the way it looks, but I feel I'd be wasting it.

Agreed on that as well....I was just talking to my father in law about that today, I’m like ya it’s a z71 but the damn thing drives like a caddy. I can’t bring myself to go and beat on it. I bought it to haul stuff when needed and for future family endeavors. Simple things like getting chlorine for the pool or propane Is so much easier with the truck bed when I’m out and about. (Granted as mentioned I did drive a Scion tC prior)

I have the max trailering shocks on my RST w/20s. It drives sporty for a truck and I love it!
