New RST

Hey guys/gals just picked up my 19 RST Z71

 

So far I love it, the last truck I drove prior to this new model was my fathers 03 z71. This truck drives so damn smooth, quiet and enjoyable. Much different than a modified car I had prior. So far all that will be done in the next week is matching front window tint, 5'' nerf bars and ceramic coating on the paint. I also picked up a set of LED bulbs for the reverse lights. Any input on things you guys recommend? Debating on a leveling kit at some point as well

 

This is a huge step up for me...I had/have a 09 Scion [emoji23].

Thanks! My brother bought almost the same truck as well(they dealer traded his prior to signing so he went with this one as well) So I said I'd be the test subject for the tint and running boards/led bulbs haha.

The first thing I would do is get that dealer sticker off of your tailgate!

YES! haha that will hopefully be done this weekend. I requested one not to be placed on it but would I ended up with a different truck it was already on sadly  I took the license plate covers off ASAP haha.

Welcome to the Club,

 

Add LED license plate lights, 994 is the bulb code(roughly $10). Makes a huge difference.

I bought my truck from Bob Johnson's as well. '19 z71 RST as well but white.

Small world! Out of all the country two in this area haha. Last dealer I was in was gmc down the road...bob johnson is out of this world it’s a huge facility.

The white looked awesome too!!

I have one too. I love the storage in the rear seat, behind the passengers, the doors open.

 

And Z71 is the way to go, it has two-speed transfer case. If you don't have Z71, then you don't have it. So glad I opted for the Z71! I thought all 4x4's had it.. whoo.

 

And the rear seat reminder is nifty! If I open the back door and close it before getting in my seat, the computer will remind me, "Did you leave something in the back seat?" I can't tell you how many times I've been left in the back seat when I was a baby.

Much better. Next time make the dealer do it though. I had them take anything with their name off of mine. Unless they are gonna pay me to roll around like a billboard, forget it!

Yeah, I had made sure it was off on the original truck I looked at. But when that one was dealer traded and I got this one it was on it. It didn’t even cross my mind at the time....it’s easy enough that I didn’t sweat it.

In the scions defense that car has been loyal to me for 10+ years and still looked great and ran like a champ it’ll be sad when I finally put it up for sale....but being 30 I feel it’s time haha.

Great looking truck. Almost bought a truck from Bob Johnson as well, but I ended up picking one up in albany.
