Firefighter uses a gun to save lives.

The guy was a doofus (the one with the body armor), but there's nothing in the story saying that he actually attempted to shoot the weapon or point it at anyone.

So, actual story is "Firefighter stops open-carry man from shopping." (unless there is some local law in that city/county that says he can't open-carry there)

I'm not saying the story is complete or accurate, I'm just asking if this story will end up on the national news, as it is. Doubt it. The shooting in CA didn't make it the day or two after it happened. The 50-60 something people shot in Chicago on Independence Day weekend didn't make it as a big headline on the news. You think they would have pushed that story for better Gun Control. (if you don't get it, Chicago is famous for super strick gun control).

So what?  There's nothing about that story that is national news.  It's just a lone gun-nut doing something stupid.

Other gun-nuts think everyone else in the store should have felt safer with him walking around the store, that he only becomes a bad guy once a bullet leaves his gun.

He was looking for attention, obviously some sort of mental instability going in there. Obvious reasons why there should be much much more interest into keeping the mentally ill from getting their hands on “ANY” type of weapon. The mentally ill will stop at nothing to cause harm, whether with a gun, knife, a club or even physically attack another human being just because they feel it’s necessary in order to mentally comfort themselves.

It's on Drudge, that's national news.  Tex, we have no idea if he was stupid and or mentally ill yet.  He might have foolishly been doing a 2nd Amendment Audit as they call it.

Beware of this trojan horse, the Red Flag laws.  We all know that Red Flags are COMMUNIST!  No Due Process, No Innocent Before Proven Guilty, No 2nd Amendment, etc.

Various local and federal agencies are already sending the police to confiscate the firearms of citizens without due process based on medical history alone, been going on for years, especially with our military veterans.  Not good.

Some nut walked into one of my local Walmarts and asked a clerk for something that would kill 200 people, saw that in the article about the other guy on Drudge but not in the local online news yet.  Will check later in the day.

These killings are not the fault of the 2nd Amendment.  It is the result of a decadent society that has turned away from God and nature's laws towards a religion of self and statism.  In short, it is the actions of the left that are the cause of these terrible acts of violence, it's their own people doing it.

Not sure if that would work, I had a friend come out of non combat military service far worse than when he went in, couldn't believe it was the same guy. His family went into shock over it. Thought he was too smart for everyone and everything around him, last I heard he was preparing for doomday senario's and hoarding guns and supplies.

This indicates that he had issues and serious insecurities prior to joining the military, but can you blame it from happening with all the negativity the media is televises. We need to focus on making God and Family #1 priority. Seems like every other day you see in the media, throwing Christianity under the bus, there’s such an Anti Christian focus out there by the left. There’s proof of the destruction of family and youth violence when God is not in your heart.

What ever category you want to put shooters into won't change things.

There is no way to monitor the public to stop all the shootings.

IMO no laws can stop this.

More armed citizens defending themselves is the best deterrent IMO.

Well, you can put God back into the public school classroom and quit promoting the fantasy that kids came from fish and monkeys.  They have no hope, no reason for being without knowledge of God in the least.  Suicide is rampant in an atheistic society and we're seeing it now here in America.  Communists loved to collect data on people but stopped collecting data on suicides as they were off the charts after generations without God had no hope, no reason for being other than to serve the utopian state.  This was the late 1970s and 1980s if memory serves.

People, actors, musicians, etc. can acknowledge that their is a Creator and not promote things that violate the Ten Commandments, such as lying, cheating, coveting, stealing, dishonoring parents, etc.
