Interior cleaners...

What interior cleaners are you guys using? I tried the Meguiar's ultimate protectant and finish came out all blotchy because of the texture of the dash. The Meguiar's leather detailer worked well on the black seats BTW.

I use the armor all stuff that comes in wipes. I usually do one pass to get all of the dust/random dog hairs/whatever else and start the process of spreading the semi wet look... then I go back behind it with a new wipe and it comes out real nice. Sometimes you have to rub it a few times to make it even. This is the easiest way I've found to get the surfaces looking consistent.

Looks like a brand new truck each time I do it.

As said above.  Armor All cleaning wipes or interior detailer wipes works great.  Mostly I just use a terry cloth with warm water/car wash solution.

If it doesn’t come out right the first time just wait a couple days and do it again. I had a blotchy look after my first application of detailer on my new truck but after the second one everything looked even and no missed spots.

mckees fast interior is great. light cleaning and light protectant and safe for all surfaces including lcd screen. If you're really dirty you'll need something else, and I also recommend a more permanent protectant. But this stuff is great for a quick and efficient light clean. I also recommend a swiffer wipe wand. they're awesome for getting the dust and i'll use one with the windows open doing 30.

you should be banned for recommending this garbage. Anybody with any detailing knowledge at all would agree. The cleaner is ok. The protectant is horrible for your dash.

I have used Klasse Cleaner/Protectant for the last few years with great success.  It does a nice job cleaning, lasts a long time and has more of a matte finish.

I've used the cleaning wipes on both my vehicles for several years now with great results.  I however rarely use the detailing wipes or use protectant on my dash especially the regular Armor All protectant. The few times I've used the detailing wipes I didn't have any issues.  That was on my 2016 haven't used on my '19.  The wipes aren't oily like Armor all protectant and like spraying Pam cooking spray on your dash. It gave a uniform matte finish with no "said" blotches like the Meguiar's. I don't like an oily or shiny dash and door panels. Like said, I mostly use a damp terry cloth and the occasionally use the cleaning wipes with great results. To each his own bud.

yeah the cleaning wipes are good. But as you said, armoralls protectant will actually do more harm than good in the long run and should be avoided if you care about your ride. Sure it's a nice glossy finish that some like, but there are better alternatives out there that also include good uv protectants.

Agree but, the detailing wipes aren't glossy and "wet" looking like regular Armor All and the original Armor All wipes.  The interior detailing wipes have no shine and gives a uniform matte finish without the oily gloss which I don't like that cooks your dash.  Maybe you're thinking of these.  Not the same and wouldn't use on my dash.

The dealer gave me a little kit with a bunch of the Adams stuff GM sells, so I've been using the Adams interior cleaner to clean and follow up with 303 for some UV protection.

Thanks guys... I'm going to try the Meguiar's one more time and see if it evens out. If not, my neighbor works for a paint shop and they use the chemical guys products for everything so I'll probably give them a try.

Baby wipes! From huggies or really any kind. After my kid grew out of diapers , i continued buying them. They clean very well, but not with crazy chemicals and they dont shine . Just a nice clean

    • Did you ever get this worked out? Mike is doing the two start thing now too. This is after a new camera back in December.
    • I’m doing an experiment on a vehicle I don’t have much money in. I’m going by the premise that after they last 100K miles they were no mechanical problems with assembly. Or defects with the parts. With oil changes by the minder for the first 127K miles when I acquired it. I quickly went through low mileage oil changes then settled on 5k oil changes with close to 170K miles on the vehicle currently. I did have the option to turn off the cylinder deactivation. I didn’t on this vehicle because it’s in ECONOMY mode at least half the time. It should be a no brainer frequent oil changes are the key. The manufacturer gets away with the long oil changes with its severe service  maintenance. Just ask them what is normal.
    • Even set to "recirculated", the air pushes out and is hot. I have noticed that sometime it doesn't want to switch between recirculated/vented air. Say it is set to Circulated Air and I want to switch to Vented, when I click the Vented button, it just quickly lights up/clicks and immediatly switches back to Circulated. It's done this a few times now. So maybe it is an actuator getting stuck? But then, that doesn't explain the hot air when everything is off does it?
    • I wonder what the price is out at the coast, Big Sur or other out of the way locations as I bet they are charging quite a premium over the in land pumps.
    • Were you looking at the HD trucks on the GM website or the half tons as that makes all the difference. As far as I know there are only two options for the HD trucks and that is the standard 2 speed transfer case or the 2 speed transfer case that has the added 4 high auto feature and they put that transfer case by default into the LTZ and High Country although its optional in the LT and not sure if its available in the work trucks.    The half tons, that is where its been a total mess in my estimation for a few years now with most trucks below the top trim having the single speed transfer case as standard but with the option of having the two speed such as one would get by choosing the Z71 package, however then not being able to get the two speed transfer case with the towing package unless it was a higher trim truck AND had the 6.2 gas so one could combine the towing package gearing diffs with the two speed transfer case. Having said that if its a trail boss package then it gets the two speed transfer case but not necessarily able to get the tow package as it would depend on trim level and engine chosen. Believe me, people have bought the GM half tons assuming "of course it will have a two speed transfer case" only to find out after when they really pay attention to what they now own .... crap, there is NO low range !.    I don't believe Ford or Ram have gone that way yet with their half tons but like I say its been a few years now that GM has done this with the half tons.
