Radiator fan LOUD after bottle of freon..??? 2016 Silverado

This weekend I had an extra bottle of freon laying around and decided to check if my truck could use some. (Big mistake) if it aint broke don't fix it!!

Anyways.. I hooked up the gage and it was in the green but i figured I could add a bit more since it was on the low side of the green. So i started adding freon, and suddenly the air just stopped blowing cold.

I freaked out and unplugged the gage and assumed I had locked up the compressor... but then it started blowing cold again while driving..

The AC has been blowing cold the last 2 days now BUT as soon as I turn the truck on with the AC on.. the radiator fans go on full blast.. it sounds like a plane about to take off.. I'm assuming it has to do with the extra freon I added because they had never done this before.

Also, if I turn the AC off the fans will slow back down after a few seconds... and I soon as i hit the AC button and hear the compressor click, the fans go back up to full speed

Any suggestions?? I'm mad at myself for causing an unnecessary problem.. I just hope there's a simple fix for this..

I'm thinking about taking it to a professional and have them vacuum the system and add new freon. But first I'd like to see if anyone has a different suggestion or knows what is going on

Fair enough.

Just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else.

But yeah my best bet is to take it to a pro

Cheap easy fix. Just jam a stick in there when it stops zip tie it down there are two anyways.

But really you can purge it yourself.

Just dont let anyone see you "let some out" up to $27k in fines and up to $10k for the person who turns you in.
