Round blanks in bed question

Anyone know what the 2 circle blanks on either side of the upper rear bed are for? I know the 9 horizontal slots are for anchors (filled, yay Amazon!). Thanks in advance

I had to remove those round blanks to install hardware for a Roll N Lock Tonneau cover.

Weird.  I didn't have to remove anything

Assorted things.  The GM/Putco bed grab rails/bars use those holes for mounting, some tonneau covers might.  20848733 is the plug #.  The 9 larger ones are for the GM tie downs and the GM Gear On system.

I've seen them used for many things.  If you have a backflip tonneau they use hoses put into those for draining.  Some folks do knock them out for draining as well.  I've seen others use them for bicycle in bed racks.  I dont think there is anything specific.

Hey Bentarm13...can you post pics of the blanks and your anchors?

Probably have a purpose during manufacture.  Also might be there for certain upfitter uses.

I like the look of those. I think I want them to retract out of the way though.

Then don’t get these. They don’t stick out far but they are not flush. I like them because it’s easy to hook on to, my experience with folding ones is almost always having to use 2 hands..1 to hold the hook up and the other for the tie down. Personal preference

Thanks for your insight on the 2 hands thing...Something to consider.

The bull rings don't fold, they slide in and out- extending straight.

They kind of "lock" in the out position, so you definitely can hook on with 1 hand.
