I have a 2018 Silverado 5.3 on a 9in Mcgaughys lift with 26x14 on 37s. Im trying to decide if a tune will get me by for now or should I regear  to 4.56 or 4.10s. I dont do any offroading just normal driving.

4.88's for 37's. 4.56's if that is not an option. You've already spent like 1/6th the trucks value on rims/tire so what's another $2,500 to fix the gearing.

A tune won't do crap to help when it has no mechanical advantage left. Those tires need to be tuned for anyway to correct the speedo but I kinda suspect that if someone plugged 37in tires into the calibration it will throw ABS/SC codes like the older models did.

That seems insane. I haven't priced out parts in a long time but if you bought the parts themselves it should be under $1,500 for a new rear locker, new rear gear set and bearing kit. Then a new front gear set/bearing kit.

Are some of these places thinking it takes 25 hours at $100+ an hour to do this stuff?

I don't have a labor time handy but it can't be anywhere near that long for R&R.

I ran my VIN through the dealership I have the 9.5. Think the guy thought i had 6.2 with a 12 bolt. Im going with 4:56 due to both highway and city driving. Also gonna install a Detroit truetrac
