GMC doesnt care after you buy

Dont expect anything after you buy GMC. We spend $100,000 on my new truck and car same day 2 years ago.

My only complaint was my passenger mirror doesnt work all the time. I recorded it a few times because you know when you take something in and it doesn't do it that time. So i bring it in for recalls and give them the mirror videos on my usb stick to prove whats happening. You can hear the motor in the mirror going. I have to get out and push on the mirror so it catches again.

They tell me it didnt do it for them and they cant get me a new mirror. That was the end of that conversation. Gee thanks.

On top of that the oil pan was leaking under warranty. So they change gasket it and charge ME for a whole oil change like its my problem. I just changed my oil 1 month ago

I was thinking of getting the new diesel gmc but will think twice about that now...

So $100,000 and they cant give me a new mirror

Doesn't seem like it's GMC that doesn't care, the dealer doesn't care. Looks like it's a dealer problem! I've learned that each dealer makes their own rules. Might be time for you to visit another dealer. Results vary from dealer to dealer. I've had it happen with my wife's Mitsubishi. The local close by dealer we bought from could care less and make everything difficult. So much so that I will never buy a car from there again. The dealer that's 50 miles away rolls the red carpet whenever we need service. It's a pleasure for me to drive the 50 miles to get there. Go try another dealer!

Thank you for your email.

I am sorry that you are experiencing issues with your 2017 GMC Sierra.

In accordance with your inquiry regarding the side mirrors.

The dealer is correct.  They would have to duplicate the issue with the mirror to know what to repair.

When an oil pan repair requires changing the oil to complete the repair, you would be responsible for the oil change service.

Please discuss any fluid changes for the upcoming repair with your Service Manager.

Thank you for contacting General Motors of Canada Company

Canada.  That's like a whole 'nother country.  GM probably doesn't care about Canada since they left Canada high and dry after taking a few $Bil from you all after the bankruptcy.  Hence the Anti-GM tv ads the Canadian govt ran during the Superbowl that they didn't show down here.

Have never charged a customer for the oil that has to be replaced when repairing an oil pan leak under warranty...GM has become a d*ck about what they consider "trim issues."

Might be worth checking that out.

It was the union that ran those....

and it' wasn't just during the superbowl.

I've never heard of them charging the customer oil when doing a pan. That is stupid!!!!!

You didn't request an oil change, so you should NOT have to pay for one.

I kinda see the mirror issue, IF there are a handful of different components that could cause the issue.

but most likely just the motor setup in this case.

Agree. We buy new Denali every two years over the past 10 years and if it’s not a simple fix the dealership can perform... corporate GM doesn’t give a sh!t. Our current 2019 Yukon Denali 4x4 Ultimate is so bad I can’t even ride in it for more than a short trip before getting a headache. Dealer did what they can and I don’t blame them but corporate GM said that’s how it was designed so apparently designed to ride like crap. And keep in mind we bought it brand new and I brought the issue up less than 100 miles of owning it and the next day.

Wow that stinks. I wonder what the result would have been here in the US. I didn't know you were in Canada. Either way, I'd take it to another dealer and see what they do.

Dealers use to be able to think for themselves and take care of a customer if they truly needed to be. Today dealers just hide behind gm for the most part and always refer back to their BS idiotic piss the customer off checklist and procedures. Just like the back window problem were the windows should all be getting replaced, no instead they try and use half arsed fixes like resealing them with oil change techs who wind up breaking more than they fix. Maybe someday the company will have a person in charge that realizes the importance of making the customer happy and giving them proper service.

If the oil pan needs to be dropped because of a manufactures defect, the new oil that's required to be put back in after the repair should be their warranty cost. That's like your torque converter blowing then them charging you for oil to put back in the transmission after the repair. I would dispute that. Have to watch them sometimes, they put all new lug nuts on our rust free 2015 Canyon after a brake job stating the "old nuts would not torque properly due to corrosion".

Go to another dealer. Your dealer sucks ass.

I bought a new 03 Duramax loaded out longbed. Truck ran flawless until 140,000 miles not even 3 years. Needed injectors. Went to dealer I bought it from and they said out of warranty tuffski shitski.

Went to Village Chev in Wayzata MN . They said this is a known problem. The service guy said "GM will pay in full to replace all 8 injectors. We will have it done around 5pm. Do you need a truck for the day?"

I bought 2 new trucks there since then.

Some dealers just want to sell cars. Some want you to come back. You choose.

Isn't that what test drives are for?

I heard there was a guy who had a good experience at Village. Never believed it 'til now.
