2017 silverado 1500 2in leveling kit

Okay, i recently bought a 2in leveling kit for my 2017 silverado 1500 ltz and ive been doing some research before i get put on. i keep seeing people saying that you need to replace your shocks with larger one? and suspension system? Is this really true for just a 2in leveling kit? and if so how big of shocks do i need and what suspension parts need upgraded too..

No! Only if you go over 2 inches you may need these other components to right your geometry. I put a 2.25” on my 16 Silverado and checked it out with dealership,  a very trusted mechanic, and 4 wheel parts just to be sure. Level it and go, no worries for 2”!
