Did anyone with the leak have any issues from dealership in getting the problem fixed and did they say what the exact problem was?  Thanks.

Happened to me also.  Had the repair done no problem.

Another reason to go back to a Toyota

haha, a friend of mine has a Toyota Tundra and I was riding in the back drivers side seat and got soaked by a leak in the roof! All makes and models have issues.

Just noticed this on my 2020 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss. Have also had an annoying rattle back there somewhere. Pulled everything out from under seat and still happening, cant locate it. Maybe related? Anyway, sounds like the water leak is a "known issue"? Is that still the case related to a seal near that center brake light?

No.  I didn't have any issues with my dealer.  Any competent dealer will know how to get this issue to show up.  Get a water hose and let the water run on the roof, down to the rear of the truck and wait for it to leak inside.  Just keep pushing for them to get it fixed.  You can also see the residual water that leaked in on the rear windows too, if you leave it there for the dealer to see where it's leaking in at.

As far as it's been said, it's to do with the entire seal that goes in with the glass.

There is a thread here with about 120 pages of rear window leaks......

And yet you'll still have threads like this pop up but not all of the answers will be found in that 120 page thread.
