I did it. This was pretty difficult lol. Lots of difficult to reach clips from the back if yours doesn't just pop out. Passenger side came out easy. Driver side was a PITA. Every clip fought me.

Upper piece is installed. I've been trying for 45 minutes to remove the lower chrome piece without removing the bumper. I'm convinced it is not possible.

This is frustrating that I have to pull the bumper for such a small piece

Looks great so far! Not sure I want to tackle it after seeing how much trouble it’s giving you. Beginning to like chrome a whole lot more [emoji1787]

Honestly the hardest part is just that I've never done it before for this truck and theres no instructions. I recorded some video clips and I'll make a DIY video for the upper part. Luckily the bumper removal is pretty well documented already. I'm just struggling getting my hands into some of these spots. Sun is going down and I started real late and didn't eat today so I'm going to call it a day. I need to do a little more research.

Having done the front grill, I'm confident I could have it swapped out in about an hour if I had to do it again. It's just tedious

Sorry I haven't been able to work on this much recently, weather has not been cooperating.

I finally got around to making the DIY video on how to remove the front grill.

Great video! Did you wind up being able to replace the bottom (skid plate) with the AT4 one yet?

Haven't yet had a chance to get back out there and try it. I have the AT4 piece. I'm still really wanting to find a way to get at it WITHOUT removing the entire bumper, just because I'm 1 person and don't think I can do it by myself (risk of dropping it and trying to align it). I got most of the bolts out of it from the bottom, but there are 4 bolts on the sides that were extremely difficult to get to. I think I can do it with some swivels and an extension of appropriate length. I was out of town last weekend and couldn't work on it, but this weekend I think I'm going to give it another go. It's going to get done one way or another, just trying for the least stuff removed method first (which might be the most difficult, ha)

Once I got it, I took it immediately to get front end PPF installed (whole hood, I hate lines) and a full body ceramic coat with a ceramic tint professionally installed (makes washing it very easy). I ordered and installed a bakflip MX4 tonneau cover, since there aren't any camper shells that retain the rear view mirror camera (I love this feature!)

Where did you get your PPF installed? How much was it... if you don't mind my asking.

@Jonofmac any update on your build? I have a black Denali and looking to de-chrome is as well. Curious how the lower valance/ skid plate turned out, and also how did the vinyl wrap work out?

Honestly I haven't touched it. Between the triple digits heat and the fact I'm trying to get my Vette ready for a track event, I've not had time or motivation to touch the truck.

I started trying to undo the lower piece and can't get my hands to anything so I took a break and haven't been back to it.

I bought it. It's sitting by my garage waiting to be installed. Looks to be a quality piece. Shipping was quick :) I just wanted to give the chrome around the windows a good cleaning. That one I was debating doing soon because it was so easy but getting the Vette ready for COTA is #1 priority for me right now
