Does ANYONE know when or if the GMC 2500 will get better rebates or incentives? Saw the new $3500 off HD for GMC but the 1500's are still getting $10K-$13K off.  Really wanting a GMC 2500 6.6 gasser SLE with about half of the options for that $42-$45K range. Anyone see that plausible in the near future? THANKS for input

Where are you? If Michigan is feasible for you, it looks like there may be one more black Custom Crew Cab at Garber Chevy in Saginaw. I bought the other custom Crew, and the custom double cab they had looks to have sold already. No HDs have been made since around October and not many out there, so they haven't been even budging on price it seems.

With plants closed down due to the strike, and shortly after firing back up - they closed down again due to Covid - SO... not a lot of supply out there. They don;t need to over incentivise the HD's as demand still outweighs supply.

I’m in Alabama. Just very few selection of them. Laura Buick GMC has only one gas 6.6 left and they normally have 50-100. May have to wait til everything gets back up and running. Hate to buy one in a hurry then the prices drop $5K or more when production passes the demand again.

Considering they normally start switching over the plant to the next model year in July... how many you think are going to get made? I'm guessing 2020's will always be a somewhat "rare truck".

I received about 7-8k off LT2500 HD gas few weeks ago.....

oct-dec is usually the huge incentive but i don't think their will be many around by that time, i actually had tough time finding one i did....and within a week the others i was looking at all sold as well

don't think you will see them blowing out limited stock.....for what? ...not if people are still buying them

i have seen a ton of LTZ models though both gas and diesel available though....these were the models they had the most of around here.....too expensive for me though

me too. Wanting a SLE GMC model if possible. can add a few upgrades to get it where I want it. Would take a Custom or WT model but my center console would have to open, I'd need the flip down drink holder armrest in the middle backseat and would like radio controls on the steering wheel. GM could've done those for very cheap but I guess that's what makes people move up to a higher model.

that's why I went to LT.....but I was looking at few SLE models as well, they were a bit cheaper than LT.....SLE has LED lights and bedliner comes with first conv pkg.....

I have both conv pkgs....either way both are nice

I finally bought after waiting 2+ months.  I don't think we'll see deals/great availability until the fall.  Dealers that had a lot of stock didn't have good pricing.  I also noticed that some dealers have old stock vs newer production.  I valued newer production as this is a first model year truck and there are some rolling changes - so I got one of the last ones to leave the factory before closure.  When the factory restarts, it's going to be slow as they also need their part supply to ramp up.  We may not see any 2020s built besides those that are sold order trucks before they switch over to 2021 -- which will limit the "end of year" sales.  If you need a truck, and see a good deal (15-20% off MSRP), and it's newer production LF2xxxxx VIN, and it has the features you want without too many extras - I wouldn't wait as there may be a shortage for a bit.   On the other hand, maybe the bottom of the economy really falls out and no one can get financing, and you can get 30-40% off as a cash buyer with a crate of toilet paper in a few months.

I got $12k off msrp on my 3500 DRW/Denali/Duramax in the color I wanted about a week before my state shut down.  I was worried the bottom would fall out of the truck market and leave me feeling a little burned, but it hasn't so far, and I feel pretty fortunate I got the truck I got when I did.   I don't think there are that many DRWs sitting around on lots, and I doubt that will be their focus when production ramps up.  In any event, it looks like demand is still out stripping supply, so I doubt there is going to be any steep discounting anytime soon.

Just curious, my GMC Sierra 2500 AT4 Diesel is finally arriving around June 29. The dealership is giving me the option to take the $1,250 Rebate this month or to roll the dice and accept what comes out for the July incentives/rebates. If it were you would you roll the dice? I’m thinking since the 4th of July is coming up the Rebate May be more, what’s your opinion. Others can chime in as well. Thanks migrabill

I’d roll the dice. With supply ramping back up the incentives will most likely get better.  And maybe they will stop excluding the AT4 from all the rebates. That’s what I’ve been waiting for. I really like the At4 over the Denali.

That’s is what I was thinking all along. I haven’t understood why the AT4 is left out of the incentives/rebates too. It seems the Sierra 1500 and the Denali 1500/2500 get the better than the AT4. In April the AT4 was $3,500 cash back. Now it seems there’s hardly nothing. Thanks Pastusak.t

I have also been shopping for a DMax HD for awhile but since I am not in a hurry was waiting for better incentives. With the plant closures I am now a little worried GM may not offer up any better incentives at least on the HDs since inventory is so low. I am working with a dealer who has 4 more 2020 trucks coming in to my desired specs. 2 in early August and 2 in early September. Tempted to wait for the September trucks but may just pull the trigger and put a deposit down on the August arrivals. Do you think rebates from August to September would be drastic? I know it’s anybody’s guess at this point.

back in March, April a lot of peeps thought they would be giving way vehicles right about now but turns out it went the other way.....they cant sell what they don't have and sure as heck aren't gonna be trying to discount the last remaining ones heck of a lot.....

I don't know how fast plants can produce vehicles but 2021 will be on production line as well.....they may get full pop come august/sept
