So my 2016 Sierra Z71 has provisions for dual batteries which of course I do not have so I was trying to find a box of some type to bolt down to the battery tray to serve as extra storage. Have any of you done this and if so can you show your ideas.

I did this on my 17 Sierra.  Store jumper cables and some gloves in the box.  Room for more.  Nice not having the cables under the back seat.  Good luck.

Question,

Will the engine breathe a little better if a second original air intake it is place on that place ? I know a Y connector has to be fabricated and air mass flow sensor be relocated. BUt will it have some benefit? I have had this idea since I bought my truck, but have not had the courage to do it since I do not have acces to a Dyno to measure any gain, if any.

Your thoughts?

Had to do some fancy cutting to make the lid fit next to the window washer tank, but with patience it can be done.  Added some extra vertical cuts in the lid sides too so it will slide under the fender brace. Likely not water/snow proof, to the extent any such moisture were to get under the hood, but that is probably not too likely.  Good luck.
