Looking for a winter front for my 2024, there doesnt appear to be 1 available for the HDs after 2022 from GM.

Just to be clear the reason for the active shutters is to retain engine heat/. BTW I have a 2021 AT4 3500 with plow prep and no shutters.

I am pretty sure that the purpose of the active shutters is to help with aerodynamics. I am not sure how the GM system works but the 19 f150 I got out of for my 2500 Denali actually would prevent the

You might be on to something, there is a WMY code on my truck. It doesn't show up in the AC Delco RPO chart that I have.

There is a winter front included for 2024 and 2025 6.6 dmax.

There is also a standard block heater on that engine.

What is the temperature that the shutters close?

  Yep, same here. Gas can be a buck cheaper in other parts of the state here, same taxes. These companies price-gouge in the more populated areas and they get away with it. 87 is down to $5.29 locally. Gee, sure seems to come down a lot more slowly than it goes up...

  I know it's hard for some of you to connect the dots, but there isn't a 3.0 duramax subforum, only a 2019-2026 powertrain subforum, which is where we are. You'd think the highly specific mentions and oil testing WRT the 3.0 in the first post would have been the tipoff, but I realize others need large signs posted to clue them in. The oil spec for the 3.0 is unique to the 3.0. Dexos D 0w20 is not currently used in other GM diesels, and Dexos D licensed oils like ESPx2 and AcDelco's Dexos D 0w20 are different from their 0w20 counterparts like Mobil 1 0w20 AFE or Truck/SUV, or ACDelco synthetic 0w20 meeting Dexos 1 Gen 3. The 0w20 for the 3.0 is different from the 0w20 you might use in a minivan, for example. I've said it 3 different ways now, but please continue to be a bored old boomer pest in these technical discussions.

  Any recommendations? 2014 sierra crew 1500 6'6" bed. Gonna be doing some cross country traveling leaving from Virginia beach for a while and wanted recommendations. I currently have a hard folding cover, but would like to get a hard shell maybe preferably with a pop up option. I'd like to be secured and weatherproof as I'll be storing valuables and may be sleeping in the back occasionally. Don't really want to be tied down to pulling a trailer. Any recommendations? Outside of the cheaper fiberglass covers?
