Hey guys, so for about 3 days now and countless hours I have been sifting through numerous posts about wrapping the front and rear bumpers on my 18. However, I have yet to see anyone actually come back with a great match for the white trucks. I have the GAZ color code for Summit White/Olympic White. I have found  "VViViD White High Gloss Realistic Paint-Like Microfinish Vinyl Wrap Roll XPO Air Release Technology" and the "Avery SW900-101-O GLOSS WHITE" vinyls but have also read that they don't match very well. Any input would be great! Thank you!

The best thing to do is just to order samples of what may be the closest match. 
When I had my summit white, I never found a match but some companies had found some close matches and never mentioned what it was. In my experience, everything either had a blue or yellow hue.

I’ve been down this road also with no luck. At one point my cousin found a match but it was stupid expensive. Let us know if you find something.

Yeah I know what you are talking about. It's a website that states that they can color match OEM paint from the dealerships, I think it's called ColorXLabs. However, for a 5x10 roll of Vinyl it's like $900. If that was with install I'd consider it but that's a crazy price to pay.

What "edition" is your truck. Those are awesome emblems on the doors and center caps of your wheels!

Thanks Jim! It's a 2018 Sierra SLT with the Blackwidow package. Basically, it adds the TruFab lift,tires/wheels,running boards,fender flares, exhaust, tune, and some lighting effects. Don't look up the MSRP it's something stupid. I got this from a dealer I know back home for 47 out the door with less than 4XXX on it last year. It was his and he was trading it back in for a 2500 for the hauling capabilities.

Honestly, I had never seen one period. Then I purchased it and 2 show up at my work. My luck lol

Never fails!  Five minutes after I buy new, I inevitably see a twin vehicle.   I remember finding 4 trucks the same colour and similar models to mine in my row of parking at a crowded mall.  My wife would have needed to try a key or look inside for personal items to be able to confirm which one was ours!  With respect to your bumper, I recommend taking a serious look at the Black Widow custom front bumper.  I believe it would enhance the value and look of your truck.  Your stock bumper should be a quick sell.

There’s a product called bumpershellz that might work. It’s ABS plastic that clips over the chrome. Comes in gloss white.

Funny that you posted this. I found these this morning and have been researching them. It seems they make a lot for the Fords but I can't seem to find anything on our year GMC's besides for the rear bumper. The search continues!

Donstar, haven't seen this bumper you speak of. Do you know where you would order/look at these parts? I did a Google search and all I could find was the SCA website and they just relay you over to a dealership for inventory for a vehicle. Didn't know if you knew somewhere to order parts specifically. Thanks man!

I found a video tour of the SCA facility and there was a section highlighting their custom bumpers.  I'd contact them and inquire where and how to purchase.

Any luck finding a front bumper solution? I have a 2016 Sierra and it's the same front bumper as your 2018. Bumpershellz only has the 2014-2015 Sierra front bumpers. I've got a factory painted front bumper, but it's chipped like a mofo. Looking to cover it up.

I came out of Home Depot one day, walked up to my truck pressing the unlock on the remote and the lights wouldnt flash. kept trying, pulled on the door handle on passenger side rear to put stuff I had in there but wouldn't unlock. Then I head a voice from over my shoulder: "that's mine, you may wanna try the one on the other side, I bet its yours". duh

      This is a 1/2 ton thing ONLY.  All HDs 2020-2026 have the two speed transfer case, with Autotrac as an option.     1/2 tons 2019-2026, regular 4x4s come with a single speed case (no 4LO!), and trucks with Z71 ordered, or all Trail Boss trucks come with the 2 speed case.  2 speed case is also an option on WT, and is also standard on High Country.

      2013 5.3 still to this day calls for the PF48 filter.  Which as a 15psi bypass pressure.     There is a TSB, 17-NA-157 that talks about the PF-63 and PF-64 filters which have a higher bypass rating of 22psi.    TSB HERE - temp.xml   "Beginning in 2012, the oil pumps began to regulate main gallery feedback instead of pump out pressure. This means that the oil pump now does not begin to regulate until pressure is built up to the main gallery. This change reduces the amount of time it takes to provide oil to the engine bearing and lifters during extreme cold start conditions.  Main gallery feedback oil pump control systems are present on the following engine families which use Spin-on oil filters: Small Gas Engine (SGE), Large Gas Engine (LGE), High Feature (HFV6) Gen2 and Small Block Gen5 gasoline engines. These engines with the main gallery feedback oil pump control systems are factory built with an ACDelco® oil filters"   It also calls out what engines use those filters.  The gen 4 small blocks were not on that list (LMG, LC9, L9H, L92, L94, L20, L96).  Gen 5 small blocks use the higher pressure filter.          That all said...   Your 7045 Napa filter is the PF63 equivalent, with 22psi bypass.  You are already using the higher bypass pressure filter.  You CAN keep using it, you don't technically have to use it though.

      Do you know WHY the filter relief setting was increased to 22 psig?    When the new system goes into the second stage the pump volume ramps up considerably. It was found that the 15 psi filter bypass setting put the filter in bypass on a warm engine when the second stage was activated. Raising the filter bypass setting forced the filter to do what it designed to do. Filter. Preventing debris from circulating during high load, high rpm operation.    So next question is how did GM find this out? VLOM/lifter failures and a deep dive by Melling Corp.    Last question. Is it required? Look at it like this; a motor may be equipped with a rev limiter. But it only works if the set point in reached. That 22 psig setting only matters if the pressure differential across the filter media exceeds 15 psig during normal warm operation. Second stage kicks in around 3000-3500 rpm.    I can't answer your question because I don't know you and how you use the truck. But I think there is enough information here to let you decide for yourself. 😉
