Gm is offering this system map update for $99 normally $159 and free shipping.  Is anyone going to do this update or to heck with it and just use Apple Maps or Google Maps via carplay?

I would just stick with Google Maps.  It's free and accurate. 

 

Unless of course you enjoy the system GPS, then absolutely go for it.  Some folks enjoy the system GPS better.

In my experience, these updates aren’t the latest compared to google maps or Waze. Hell, the lane I live on had its name changed back in 07 and the wife’s 2017 Acadia still showed the old road name. Needless to say I feel they are a waste of money.

Received and installed the update this week.  I have no clue what was actually updated but it sure didn't update anything in my area of NW Florida.  A street was added near me over 10 years ago, still doesnt show.  Many of the buisinesses near me also do not show up.  T  hese businesses have been open for many years.  This was my first and last update...
