Hi, Im looking for help to guide me in the right direction, I want to swap my 5.3l for a 6.2 crate engine, and Im wondering how hard is it? and which supercharged engine is the best for this?  Will I keep all the function of the truck?

My truck is a 2019 new gen denali 5.3

Hope you have deep pockets.  This will be an expensive venture considering the new trucks can't be tuned by just anyone.

Cheaper to trade it in on a new truck IMO.

The 6.2 will bolt right up and utilizes the same wiring harness.  As long as you have the PCM from the 6.2 and the security bypassed, you should be fine.  If you want to supercharge the engine, the latest gen 5.3 and 6.2 are poor platforms because of compression and tuning woes.  Look for an older LS 6.0 (LQ4 or LQ9) and boost the snot out of it with no worries.  People consistently boost junkyard 6.0's over 600 RWHP reliably with no issues.

Even if you had the computer from the 6.2 it would require a full flash of the PCM/TCM because the TCM in your 5.3 truck is not going to be the same TCM that was in the 6.2 truck.

You'd have to know someone with a dealership scan tool and a little knowledge to even attempt to make that work.
