S&B CAIs now backordered 30-40+ days...

I had a promotion coupon for realtruck.com so I figured I would apply it to the S&B CAI I’ve been eyeing up. It’s been saying it’s backordered for 2-3 weeks for a little bit. Now it says 30-40 days. I ordered it anyway to take advantage of the deal.

After chatting with S&B support they say that’s the best estimate they can give at the moment. My guess it could be longer. She said it is due to a change in process of production for safety measures, due to COVID of course.

Just an FYI for those that are interested and have been trying to wait out the backorder. It’s not getting better any time soon.

That stinks man. I waited 2 months for mine. I do like it but wish it was more factory looking. My 2018 looked like a Rotofab and was clean looking. This new intake is MASSIVE!!! Takes in most air and least restrictive out of all intakes

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the S&B. I don’t plan on looking at it too much lol. I’d rather it work well and look goofy then look great and work like $hit for a performance part.

I just received an update from Realtruck this morning eta 11/6-11/14. Oh well.

That was same estimate that had 3+ months ago as well. They.re realistically 2+ months out from most vendors I've spoken to. Although they are around $50 cheaper than others the wait my not be worth it. I picked up a K&N for mine as well as my brothers and we love them. As an alternative.

Just received an update from RealTruck.com. Looks like I'm not receiving my intake until late December. Around 90 days after ordering it!

Not blaming them for anything outside their control... more an FYI for those who want one.

Looks like this will be a spring 2021 project at this point.

I was thinking the same thing!

If I get it in time I may have to wrap it for myself and open it in front of the wife just to see the look on her face. lol
