2020 2500hd high country door latch noisy

Just bought 2020 3500 high country. Drivers door doing the same. Has anybody heard a factory fix yet? Besides BFH.

It's been 80,000 km since I used the BFH. Still tight and right with no sound and no issues.

Same issue. 2020 3500 high country.  Mine is more of a thump like something big and soft is loose inside the door. Drivers door only.  Heard it on my very first drive.  I hate taking it to the dealer for stuff like that so I'm going to live with it until I can fix it myself.  Hoping someone on here has a solution.

2020 silverado 3500hd, same issue with mine, went to dealer and they told me everything's fine .

Jumped from 2020 to a 2022 and still have the same issue. I found on last truck putting some electrical tape around striker helps quite a bit but not 100 percent. I really wish GM would get it together and come out with a actual fix for this. even like a rubber bumper to clip onto latch. 

 

Anyone else have any luck with fixes for this? it really drives me bonkers lol.

I did the same thing wrapped the striker in electrical tape. Helped some and I also tightened up the hardware on the latch and checked my door to hinge bolts. But yea crazy tolerance of exceptance on the fit and finish these days. That BFH is starting to pull me in. 

 

 

Will note that snugging up the bolts a lot more than the factory did on the latch and the strike/keeper helped a lot. And the electrical tape kinda added a little more snugness.

I have a 2022 AT4 HD 3500 and the driver door makes a noise like the door is not shut. Anyone heard of a fix. I only have 600 miles on the truck and the noise is irritating. Dealer is stumped what to do. What do I do? I paid 103,000 and my 2006 GMC 3500 HD is quieter and has 312,000 miles on it.

Just picked up my 2022 last week, noticed that I have this problem.  Driver's side door.  I feel like this is probably one of those things you go to the dealer and they say they can't fix it.

I agree, more like a design flaw that they havent figured out how to fix yet or may not ever.

Had mine at the dealer for the Upfitter Switch install.  Told them about the door, they were unable to reproduce the sound...shocking.  They said the door was normal.  So I guess the door bouncing around over certain bumps is normal.  Seems like a flaw in the GM cab design maybe, since the K2XX truck was basically the same frame and it didn't have this issue.

I have a new 2022AT4 door sounds like it's not shut. Took it to Ken Fowler's they said theres nothing wrong. It's so annoying that when you go over railroad tracks or curtain bumps the door rattles like it's not shut all the way. I've recorded it and you can hear it in a recording.  But the dealership said nothing is wrong with it. SMH, I'M SO FRUSTRATED WITH KEN FOWLER'S for doing this. I spent over $100,000 for this truck and this is how I'm treated.

IUpdate Dec 22 , I was at dealer in 2021, couldn't create the noise, just recently , I used my experience working at the Oshawa Trk Plt (retired) ,in my shop, flat surface, rolled down front window , lifted door through window opening in door, door can be moved up and down on hinges and door latch plate with door fully closed and latched. I will be contacting GM and Skeld before returning to my dealership.
