Definitely leveling my truck shortly, will either be the spacer, or replacing ranchos with Bilsteins, but either way...do you pay the premium to have the dealer install it, but retain the warranty, or take it to "your" shop and have them do it for 1/3 the price?

Is the warranty a concern on a simple level?  Have never done much with suspension, so am curious what the "norm" is.

Thanks!

I always have my dealer do it.  The suspension tech there is excellent and always does a fantastic job taking care of me.  Around here at least, the price is right inline with 4 Wheel Parts and I wouldn't let them even catch a glimpse of my truck, much less touch it.

I am my mechanic. I'd do the install myself, then take the truck to the dealer for an alignment.

Do it yourself, its SUPER easy and you'll have a little more knowledge/confidence in your mechanic skills afterwards knowing you did it yourself.

IF thats not an option, dealer for sure.  The 4 Wheel Parts high schoolers doing their installs wouldn't be allowed within 10 feet of my truck.

I did mine myself, as I don’t trust anyone else. If you don’t have tools, confidence or desire to do it yourself, then I’d say dealer before local shop unless you have a great relationship and high trust factor with your local shop.

depends.....as stated some peeps have good service depts near them and there are also alot of them that arent so good......same with independent shops.....pretty simple process, i wouldnt be too worried about warranty issue if you do everything correctly which is why alot of people just do it themselves

I installed a 2.5" upper strut motofab lift myself and 1" in the back.  Its pretty easy just make sure you take the axle nut off and make sure axle moves freely through the hub.   Also I have seen a few people say they couldn't get their kits on but if you unhook the sway bar its easy to get it on.  Make sure you have a jack to jack the lower arm to get sway bar reattached.  Oh and take your time.
