Curious , were you shopping for a base 3.3 motor ? 

Because the rest of their motors coupled with the 10A , are all pretty damn quick.  Even the 2.7 moves out really well.

On the Ford lineup there is only 1 engine I'd ever consider, the 5.0 V8. some day I'm sure I will end up with an electric car like everyone else, but until that happens its a V8 or nothing. And its not a lack of experience, I owned an ecoboost once, absolutely hated it. the sound that engine made drove me nuts and at least to me it was no where near as powerful nor as efficient as everyone said it was. but, that's just my take on it.

I have to agree with you 100%. Stepdad owned a 2013 ecoboost for 6 years. I never was impressed with it. He Couldn’t ever get over 17 mpgs with it. Finally convinced him on a GMC Sierra with 5.3L and 10 spd combo. He averages 22 mpgs with it and loves it. Said has great power. Not the snap back instant “turbo” whoosh but more linear. I’ve also been really impressed with the new 5.3L/10 spd combo.

I honestly like the current interior better... The radio controls look like a cheap aftermarket radio. 

 

They should've used the current Yukon Denali interior with the column shifter IMO

So glad I have my column shifter. The console shifter is a waste of space. The dash button/lever sucks.

It sucks to see the column shifter having gone away, especially with the new redesign. GM was holding tight to this for so many years. I do hate the console shifter, and agree as that is a total waste of space.

Paddle shifters? What the hell for? It's a truck. I put in drive and go. If I need to go faster, I push the throttle down.

Driving mountain roads all the time I would use the paddle shifters. I drive in manual so it would be nice to use them instead of the button on the gear shifter. 

Not buying a truck to have them though.

I don’t mind the floor shifter. Looks wise  it’s the best look but like many have said it takes away space. I would have preferred the MBZ shifter style .  Column shifter like the GMs but shortened by about 6 inches so it’s not that visible.

I'm relieved and pleased that GM didn't go with push button gear selector like in the Tahoe and Suburban.  I bought a 2020 for 2 reasons, one of which was concern that the a 21 or 22 would have those push buttons.  It's the same reason I didn't buy a Ram.  That dial is a huge nope.  Imo, the only thing Ford had going for it was the console shifter.  Hopefully the console shifter will still be around in 15-20 years when I decide to buy another truck (hopefully my current truck lasts a long).  I don't mind the column shifter.  It is a reasonable compromise, but downhill driving is much easier with a console shifter.  And, if I want to get sporty with my truck it's more convenient to control with a console shifter than a dual, push buttons, or column shifter.  Big yeah for steering wheel paddles if I want to get sporty out in the desert, and I think that's why GM put them there to begin with -- ZRX.

 

As for the buttons at the bottom, that whole area looks like it came from a late 80s- early 90s car.  It'll suffice, but could've been better.

I too think this is possible.  On the 2021 Yukon the Denali instrument panel is very different than the Yukon AT4 instrument panel.
