Buggy whip salesman are crying in their beer again....LOL   Disclaimer I am not plugging EV transport, hell I am a retired Chem Engineer from a major engine maker.

Our transport and energy system was set up for  extracted from the ground hydrocarbons because it is plentiful and cheap. Standard oil and Rockefeller drove that. For over 100 years it's been true.

Anyone remember Teapot Dome scandal? Didn't think so.

If in that 100+ years Edison or Tesla had been funded for EV transport fueling we'd be so far ahead of the arguments being made here people would be screaming that its un-American to consider burning the precious feedstocks for chemicals and plastics as a fuel.

In the oil industry there was nothing about FREE markets in its formation or dominance. The US gov allowed and encouraged its use and today still subsidizes it.

So the  INFORMED US citizen can decide by voting where we head and the market will follow.  MACRO ECON is like that in a democratic republic.  Now if the citizen is uniformed or misinformed or chooses not to vote,.... well thats where rich powerful people do things to them that are sinful.  Some even like having sinful things done to them by powerful folks.  LOL

BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLES NOT READY

"While that statement my fly in the face the current trends in global emissions regulations and the electrification strategies of many OEMs, Sencal later outlines several advanced technologies and strategies for the reduction of CO2 emissions from the ICE such as Gasoline Compression Ignition, Premixed Charge Compression Ignition, and dedicated EGR systems as well as options for carbon-neutral fuels. “If today’s ICEs operate at, say 12-35% efficiency for gasoline engines, its possible that with one or more of these advanced concepts…an overall vehicle efficiency of 80% is possible with an ICE efficiency of 60%.” "

Racing Toward Zero: The Untold Story of Driving Green was published in 2021 by SAE International. Its ISBN is 978-1-4686-0146-6 and is available for download both in digital or print formats on SAE’s website for $28 USD.

Large heavy batteries are not the answer but a bridge technology, here's where I think we are headed for execution

Rivian Electric Vehicle Maker

https://rivian.com/

Google biggest investor. Company to make EV for Google.

I read that. I also read some electric vehicles caught in flooding catching fire. I wonder if you get caught in a flash flood what about electrocution. Even if you bailed out into the drink to get away.

Hydrogen and fuel cells is the future!!!  it retains the current petroleum infrastructure , and meets the green zero emmissions goals.  Lithium battery tech just doesn't have what it takes to replace ICE vehicles

if Rivian had thier ****** together they would drop all battery tech and convert to the fuelcell system
